A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUB-
LIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CON-
STRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF A PtrBLIC IMPROVE-
MENT, TO WIT: THE CYPRESS AVENUE SEWER IMPROVE-

A~P ING THE ESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES,
DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUC-
TION THEREOF; AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF
SAID PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID
PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE
INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the con-
struction and completion of a public improvement in the City or
Anaheim, to wit:
The Cypress Avenue Sewer Improvement, consisting of the
construction of an 8-inch V.C.p. sewer lateral on the
east side of Cypress Avenue, from approximately 704 feet
north of Romneya Drive to approximately 254 feet north of
Romneya Drive, including excavation, trenching, backfill,
construction of house laterals, Jacking under Cypress
Avenue, and appurtenant work as indicated on the plans,
Job No. 1142.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed George E. Holyoke,
~itv Engine~r to prepare detailed designs, plans, prorlles,
rawings an specifications, and estimates of quantities and costs
and make necessary surveys for the construction of said public im-
provement; and
WHEREAS, said Enoineer has prepared said detailed designs,
plans, proriles, drawings and specifications ror the construction or
said public improvement and has submitted the same to the City Coun-
cil; and
WHEREAS. the City Council rinds that the detailed designs,
plans, proriles, drawings and specifications for said public improve-
ment above-mentioned are in accordance with good engineering practice
and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements or the City or
Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said area ror the purposes
for which they are intended, and that they are adequate ror the con-
struction or said public improvement and should be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council or the City
of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and
specirications for said public improvement hereinabove mentioned
and described be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted as
prepared by said Ci ty Eno ineer .

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructed in accordanee wlth said detailed designs,
plans. prof'iles, drawings and specir:ieatlons as prepared by
said Cttv E~~_and hereby approved. and such addenda
or modiricatTOns thereto as may be approved prior to the award-
ing or bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk or the City or
Anahelm be, and she Is hereby. authorized and directed to publish
a notice ac:corc.ing to law" l.nv1.ttng:'lealed proposals for the rur-
nlshlng of 8.11. plant, labor, serid,cas, materials and equipment,
and all utilities and transpor'tat1on. :i.ncluding power, ruel and
water, and performi.ng all work necessar'y to construct and complete
in a good and workmanlike manner, 1n strict a.ccordance with said
detailed designs. plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as
prepared by said Ci tv E1].gine~L__, the public improvement here-
inabove mentioned and described, and fixing the 2nd day of
October , 1958 ,at "the hour or 2 : 00 0 'clock p. M..
as the date and hour for the 'opening or said bids at the City
Council Chambers j"n the City Hall in t.he City or Anaheim, and that
said notice shall be publiShed twice, the flrst of which publica-
tions shall be at least toAn (10) days prior to the date rixed ror
the opening of bids. and that said publications shall be at least
n ve (5) days apart..
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successrul bidder or
bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with the City
or Anaheim in the manner and form approved by the City Attorney or
the C:i.ty of Anahelm ror the GC'nstr;Jction, installation and comple-
tion of said public improvement hereinabove mentioned and described,
in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by said
Ci ~lnef?J'__..~_. the notice. lnvi ting sealed proposals, this
resolution 8nd a1:: appliJ;8'ole Ci.ty Ordinan.ces or Code Sections and
