RESOLUTION NO. 4746
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY C01JNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AllTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF FOUR-WAY BOULEVARD STOP
SIGNS AT mE. INTERSECTION OF NIOBE AVENUE
AND VALLEY STREET.
WHEREAS, Section 465, Subdivision RB," of the California
Vehicle Code provides that local authoriths_ in their respective
jurisdiction shall have authority to place and maintain, or cause
to he placed and maintained, such traffic signs as may be neces-
sary to iadicate and to carry out the provisions of the California
Vehicle Code and local traffic ordinances, or to regulate, warn
or guide traffic; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Municipal COde, Section 3213,
provides that the City Council shall b7 resolution determine and
designate the character of all official warning and direction
sig.. and signals; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that to eliminate traffic
hazards and. promote the safety and welfare of citizens and resi-
dents of the City of Anaheim, four-way boulevard stop signs should
be established and maintained at the intersection of Niobe Avenue
and Valley Street, in the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counc 11 of
the City of Anaheim that the Chief of Police be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to place and maintain four-Way boulevard
stop signs at the intersection of Niobe Avenue and Valley Street,
in the City of Anaheim; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the stop signs so established
and maintained shall conform to the regulations of the California
Vehicle Code as to size and design.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
