A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING A' PEDESTRIAN CROSS-
WALK ACROSS PlACENTIA AVENUE.AT ITS INTER-
SECTION WITH BROADWAY.
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works of the
Division of Highways of the State of California has received
a request for the establishment of a pedestrian crosswalk
across Placentia Avenue, a State High\iay, at: its intersection
with Broadway in the City of Anaheim, California; and
WHEREAS, the said Department of Public Works has
recommended to the City of Anaheim that a crosswalk at that
location would be desirable; and
WHEREAS, the City Ceuncil after due study and de-
liberation does find and determine that for the protection,
safety and general welfare of the pedestrians in that area
there should be established a pedestrian crosswalk across the
south leg of Placentia Avenue, at its intersection with
Broadway.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that a pedestrian crosswalk be es-
tablished across the south leg of Placentia Avenue, at its
intersection with Broadway, in the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief of Pblice be,
and he is hereby, authorized and directed to indicate said
pedestrian crossing by placing, or causing to be placed, lines
or other distinctive markings on Placentia Avenue in the manner
prescribed by law, and by painting the curbing red from a point
~eginning at the prolongation of the south property line of
Broadway to a point twenty (20) feet south on the east side of
Placentia Avenue.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be
subject to the consent and approval of the Department of Public
Works of the Division of Highways of the State of California
and shall cease to be operative six (6) months after receipt by
the City Council of written notice of withdrawal of approval.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
