RESOLUTION NO. 4709
A RESOLUTION OF THE CIIT COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM DENYING VARIANCE NOo 989
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Ana-
heim did receive a petition for zoning variance from the owner.
Millie Rem1and. of certain real property
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California,
described as fol1ows~
The North 100 feet of the South 396 feet of the
West 330 feet of the Southwest quarter of the
Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of
Section 13, Township 4 South, Range 11 West,
S.B.B. &. M.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the West 92 feet thereof.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a
public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on J1l1~
21 ,19 c;8 ~ notices of which said public hearing wereuly
given as required by law and the provisions of Section 9200.17 of the
Anaheim MUnicipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said City Planning Commission, after due inspec-
tion, investigation and studies made by itself and in its behalf, and
after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said
hear ing, did adopt Resolution Noo 22 ,Series 19 ~8-"9 ,recommend-
inc that Amended Variance No. qBg be grAntp.n : and
WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty (20) days from the date
of the adoption of said resolution, the City Council did elect, upon
its own motion, to review the action taken by the City Planning Com-
mission in graQjing said variance and did set a public hearing
thereon to be hera on the ~day of Au9~st. 1qc;B , at 7:00
o'clock P.M. in the City H~the City of Anaheim, and notice of
such public hearing was duly given as required by law and the provi-
sions of Section 9200.17 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that:
1. There is no substantial property right possessed by
other property in the same vicinity and tone and
denied the subject property.
2. It appears that the subject property can be ade-
quately developed and used under the present zone.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Commission grant-
ing Amended Variance No. 989 requesting permission to operate a trailer
sales and rental lot. on the property hereinabove described, be and the
same is hereby disapproved, and that Amended Variance No. 989 be, and
the same is hereby denied.
