RESOLUTION NO. 4691
A RESOLUTION OF' THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
DENYING VARIANCE NO. 994.
-
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim
did receive a petition for zoning variance from the lessee.
J. & S. CONSTR~C~aN co. . of certain real property
situated in the ity of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California,
described as follows~
The Southwest corner of Orange and Magnolia Avenues.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission
hearIng at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on
1958 , notices of whIch saId public hearIng were
qulred by law and the provisions of Section 9200.17
Municipal Code, and
WHEREAS, said City Planning Commission9 after due inspection,
investigation and studies made by itself and in its behalf, and after
due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing,
dId adopt ResolutIon No. 6 SerIes 19 58-59 , recommending that
Variance No. qq4 be denied , and
did hold a public

WHEREAS, thereafter, withIn twenty (20) days from the date of
the adoption of said resolution9 a written appeal was filed with the
City Council of the City of Anaheim protesting the actIon of the CIty
PlannIng Commission denvina said variance, and said appeal was
set for public hearing on Auaust 12 , 19 58 , at 7~00
o'clock P.Mo at the CIty Hall in the City of Anaheim, and notice of
such public hearing was duly given as required by law and the provi-
sions of Section 9200017 of the Anaheim Municipal Codej and
WHEREAS, after due investigation and studies made by itself
and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all the evidence and
reports offered at said hearing, the CIty Council does find and de-
termine tha t ~

10 There is no substantial property right possessed by
other property in the same vicinity and zone and denIed
the subject property,
2. It appears that the subject property can be adequately
developed and used under the present zoneo

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Commission deny-
ing Variance No. 994 requesting permission to erect a temporary sub-
division directional sign, on the property hereinabove described, be,
and the same is hereby sustained, and that Variance No. 994 be, and
the same is hereby denied.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this
12th day of August, 19 58 .
