A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND
USE ELEMENT OF THE ANAHEIM GENERAL PLAN
DESIGNATED AS AMENDMENT NO. 366, EXHIBIT "A."
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, pursuant to the
recommendations of the Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim, adopted a General Plan for the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, Planning Commission directed staff to initiate
an amendment to the Land Use Element of the General Plan to re-
designate ten lots located on the east side of East Gates Street
between Ball Road and Lanerose Drive, and two lots located at the
southeast corner of Lanerose Drive and East Gates Street from the
Low-Medium Density Residential designation to the Low Density
Residential designation; and that said properties are more
specifically described as having a combined frontage of 887 feet
on the east side of East Gates Drive, a frontage of 100 feet on
the south side of Ball Road and frontages of 100 feet on both the
north and south sides of Lanerose Drive (totaling 2.0 acres)
(hereinafter the "General Plan Amendment" or "General Plan
Amendment No. 366"); and
WHEREAS, on the 7th day of June, 1999, the City
Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did hold a public
hearing to consider the General Plan Amendment.
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the City Planning
Commission did duly adopt its Resolution No. PC99-99 containing a
report of its findings, a summary of the evidence presented at
said hearing, and recommending that said Amendment to the General
Plan designated as General Plan Amendment No. 366 be adopted by
the City Council changing the land use designation for the
aforedescribed area to "Low Density Residential" in accordance
with Exhibit "A"; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said Resolution, summary of
evidence, report of findings and recommendations of the City
Planning Commission, the City Council did fix the 20th day of
July, 1999, as the time, and the City Council Chamber in the
Civic Center as the place for a public hearing on said proposed
General Plan Amendment No. 366 and did give notice thereof in the
manner and as provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did duly hold and conduct
such public hearing and did give all persons interested therein
an opportunity to be heard, and did receive evidence and reports
and did consider the recommendations of the City Planning
Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
General Plan Amendment No. 366 changing the land use designation
in the aforedescribed area in accordance with Exhibit "A" on file
with the City should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that General Plan Amendment No. 366 changing
the land use designation for the aforedescribed area to "Low
Density Residential" in accordance with Exhibit "A" on file with
the City be, and the same is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Department be,
and it is hereby, instructed to amend the General Plan Map to
conform to General Plan Amendment No. 366 as herein adopted and
approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 20th day of July, 1999.
