RESOLUTION NO. 4068
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AlJTHORlZING .ANJ!l DIRECTING. THE
ESTABLlSHMDfT OF FOUR-WAY BOULEVARD STOP SIGNS
AT THE INTERSECTION OF NUTl<<X>D STREET AND
CERRITOS AVENUE.
WHEREAS, Section 465, Subdivision wB,w of the California
Vehicle Code provides that local authorities in. their respective
jurisdiction shall have authority to place and maintain, or cause
to be placed and maintained, such traffic signs as may be neces-
sary to indicate and to carry out the provisions of the California
Vehicle Code and local traffic ordinances, or to regulate, warn
or guide traffic; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Municipal Code, Section 3213,
provides that the City Council shall by resolution determine and
designate the character of all official warning and direction
signs and signals; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that to eliminate traffic
hazarQs and promote the safety and welfare of citizens and resi-
dents of the City of Anaheim, four-way boulevard stop signs should
be established and maintained at the intersection of Natwood Street
and Cerritos Avenue, in the City of Anaheim.
NOli, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Ci ty Counc 11 of
the City of Anaheim that the Chief of Police be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to place and maintain four-way boulevard
stop signs at the intersection of NutwQod Street and Cerritos
Avenue, in the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the stop signs SQ established
and maintained shall conform to the regulations of the California
Vehicle Code as to size and design.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 29th day of July, 1958.
