A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXCHANGE
OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY FOR
CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY THRIFTIMART, INC.
WHEREAS, Thriftimart, Inc. is the owner of the
following described property situated in the City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, state of California, to wit:
Lot 26 of Vineyard Lot E-5 of the Langen-
berger Tract in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, state of California,
as per map recorded in Book 1, Pages 550
and 551 of Miscellaneous Records in the
Office of the County Recorder of Los
Angeles County, California;
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the South 75 feet.
AND vlHEREAS, the Ci ty of Anaheim is the owner
of the following described property situated in the City
of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, to wit:
The South rectangular 75 feet of Lot 25 of
Vineyard Lot E-5, as shown on a map thereof
recorded .in Book 1, Pages 550 and 551 of
Miscellaneous Records in the Office of the
County Recorder of Los Angeles County,
California.
AND imEREAS, the City of Anaheim also owns the
property lying West and South of, and adjoining the property
hereinabove described owned by Thriftimart, Inc. and an
exchange of the properties hereinabove described would con-
solidate the parcels owned by the City and would enable the
City to use said property more advantageously; and
w~REAS, Thriftimart, Inc. is willing to exchange
said property owned by it, hereinabove described, for the
property owned by the City of Anaheim hereinabove described;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be
to the advantage and for the best interest of the City of
Anaheim and the citizens and residents thereof to acquire
said property.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the property hereinabove de-
scribed owned by the City of Anaheim, be exchanged for the
property hereinabove described owned by Thriftimart, Inc.,
and that the Mayor and the City Clerk be, and they are here-
by, authorized and directed to execute a deed conveying said
property hereinabove described owned by the City of Anaheim
to Thriftimart, Inc., and to deliver said deed into escrow
at California Bank, Anaheim Office, 203 East Center Street,
Anaheim, California, to be delivered to Thriftimart, Inc.
when a good and sufficient deed has been executed by said

Thriftimart, Ino. oonveying to the City of Anaheim the
property hereinabove described owned by Thriftimart, Inc.
and delivered into escrow at said California Bank,
Anaheim Offioe, which deed is to be recorded simultaneously
with the deed exeouted by the City of Anaheim, and which
deed shall sho\i said property vested in the City of Anaheim
free and clear of all encumbrances, except taxes for the
fiscal year 1957-58, and covenants, conditions, restrictions,
reservations, rights-of-way and easements of record; and
that said deed tendered by said Thriftimart, Inc. be, and
the same is hereby, accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that each party to said
exchange shall pay the usual and customary seller's and
buyer's title and escrow charges in such exchange of
properties.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed
by me this 15th day of October, 1957.
