RESOLUTION NO. 97R -167
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM WAIVING NOTICE
OF LEASE BY THE COUNTY OF ORANGE OF
CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM
WHEREAS, the County of Orange Social Services Agency
proposes to enter into a lease agreement for the purpose of
expanding the Greater Avenues for Independence (GAIN) Program
office to provide employment assistance at 50 South Anaheim
Boulevard in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 25351 requires the
County to notify the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, in
writing, at least sixty days prior to entering into such lease,
unless such notice is waived by resolution of the City Council;
and
WHEREAS, the County has requested that the City Council
waive such sixty -day notice requirement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the sixty -day notice required by the
Government Code Section 25351 is hereby waived with respect to
the aforementioned lease.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 16th day of September
1997.
