RESOLUTION NO. 3928
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE INCLUSION OF
APDITIONAL STREETS IN THE SYSTEM OF
MNOR CITY STREETS

WHEREAS, Section 2052 of the Streets and Highway Code of the
State of California provides that the system of Major City Streets
shall be selected by the City Council on the basis of greatest general
City importance subject to the approval of the Department of Public
Works; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has
selected certain streets which it desires to have included in the
system of Major City Streets, such additional streets being of impor-
tance to cross-town traffic and the industrial development o'f the City.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM that the Department of'Public Works of the State of California
be requested to approve a revision of the present system of Major City
Streets and approve the inclusion of the following streets and portions
of streets in the system of Major City Streets of the City.
1. SOUTH STREET - Walnut Street to East Street.
2. CENTER STREET - from Santa Ana Freeway to Placentia Avenue.
3. ANAHEIM-OLIVE ROAD - Center Street to Easterly City Limits
approximately 1320 feet east of Placentia Avenue.
4. SYCAMORE STREET - West Street to Placentia Avenue.
5. NORTH STREET - Loara Street to East Street.
6. LA PALMA AVENUE - From City Limits on the west approx-
imately 660 feet west of Magnolia Avenue to Sunkist
Avenue on the east.
7. CITRON STREET - Vermont Avenue to Sycamore Street.
8. PALM STREET - From Ball Road to Los Angeles Street.
9. CLAUDINA STREET - Vermont Avenue to La Palma Avenue.
10. EAST STREET - Ball Road to Freeway Route 175.
11. FRONTAGE ROAD - Lincoln Avenue to Loara Street.
12. EUCLID AVENUE - Ball Road to Crescent Avenue~
13. BROOKHURSr AVENUE - From 330 feet north of Cerritos to
Lincoln Avenue, and from Santa Ana Freeway to Riverside
Freewa y.
14. MAGNOLIA AVENUE - From 660 feet south of Ball Road to
Santa Ana Freeway.
15. DALE AVENUE - From 660 feet south of Ball Road to
Crescent Avenue.
16. KNOTT AVENUE - From Ball Road to Lincoln Avenue.
17. BROADWAY - From Dale Avenue to Gilbert Street and from
Brookhurst Avenue to Santa Ana Freeway.
18. ORANGE STREET - From Knott Street to Gilbert Street and
from Brookhurst Avenue to Euclid Avenue.
19. BALL ROAD - From Knott Avenue to 1320 feet east of Magnolia
Avenue; 660 feet west of Gilbert Street to Gilbert Street;
l32D feet west of Brookhurst Street to 660 feet west of
Placentia Avenue.
20. HARBOR BOULEVARD - From 300 feet south of Vermont Avenue to
southerly city limit approximately 1320 feet south of
Orangewood Avenue.
