RESOLUTION NO. 38$'
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED CONVEYING
TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CER~AIN REAL PROPERTY
FOR AN EASE:MENT FOR \vATER LINE AND POWER LINE
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
desirous of purchasing the hereinafter described real property
for public purposes, to wit: An easement for water line and
power line purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
that it is for the benefit and best interest of the City of
Anaheim to accept said offer and purohase said real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the offer of LAURANCE P. SHIELDS and
PATRICIA A. SHIELDS, husband and wife; FRANK M. DOYLE and
GERTRUDE R. DOYLE, husband and wife; and HARPER W. SHIELDS and
MARGUERITE P. SHIELDS, husband and wife to sell to the City of
Anaheim the following described real property situated in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, to be
used for an easement for water line and power line purposes,
and more particularly described as follows:
An easement for water line and power line purposes over
a 15 foot strip of land, said strip being described as
follows:

Beginning at a point on the Northerly prolongation of
the East line of Lots 17 and 18 of the P. A. Stanton
Tract, as shown on a map thereof recorded in book 5,
pages 23 and 24, Miscellaneous Maps, records of said
Orange County, said point of beginning being distant
North 89014'5411 East, 572.84 feet from the Northwest
corner of Section 19, in Township 4 South, Range 10
West, as shown on a map thereof recorded in book 51,
page 10, Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange
County; thence South 00 38' 40" East, along said East
line, 1139.93 feet to a point 160.91 feet Northerly of
the Southeast corner of said Lot 18; thence South 880
44' 45" West, along the boundary of Parcel 2 of the
lend conveyed to Frank M. Doyle, e t a1., by deed re-
corded March 15, 1957, in book 3838, page 116, Official
Records, in the office of the County Recorder of said
Orange County, 72.90 feet to an angle point therein;
thence South 10 11' 35" East, along said boundary, 160.21
feet to a point in the South line of said Lot 18; thence
South 890 17' 55" West, along said South line, 15.00
feet; thence North 10 11' 35" West, 175.11<. feet; thence
North 890 44' 45" East, 73.04 feet; thence North 0038'40"
West, 1125.06 feet; thence North 89014'54" East, 15 feet
to the point of beginning.
be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a convey-
ance of said property.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer of
tl~ City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to
the owners of said real property, out of General Funds of the
City of Anaheim, tne sum of One and nO/100 Dollars ($1.00).
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION i8 signed and approved by
