RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUB-
LIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CON-
STRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVE-
MENT, TO WIT: THE IHPROVEMENT QF CITRON STREET,

FROM LA PALMA AVENUE TO NORTH STREET, JOB
NO. 145:
AND APPROVING THE DESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES,
DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUC-
TION THEREOF; AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF
SAID PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID
PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE
INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the con-
struction and completion or a public improvement in the City or
Anaheim, to wit:
The Improvement or Citron Street, from La
Palma Avenue to North Street, eonsisting
or excavation, paving with 4 i~ches or plant-
mix paving, adjusting existing manholes to
grade and appurtenant work, as indicated on
the plans, Job No. 145.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed Geor~e E. Holyoke,
Cit~En~ineer. to prepare detailed designs, pans, proriles,
dra . ngs and specirications, and estimates of quantities and costs
and make necessary surveys ror the construction or said public im-
provement; and
WHEREAS, said Engineer has prepared said detailed designs,
plans, proriles, drawings and specirications ror the construction or
said public improvement and has submitted the same to the City Coun-
cil; and
WHEREAS, the City Council rinds that the detailed designs,
plans, proriles, drawings and specirications ror said public improve-
ment above-mentioned are in accordance with good engineering practice
and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements or the City or
Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said area for the purposes
for which they are intended, and that they are adequate ror the con-
struction or said public improvement and should be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Councilor the City
or Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, proriles, drawings and
specirications ror said public improvement hereinabove mentioned
and described be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted as
prepared by said Engineer ____.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, proriles, drawings and specirications as prepared by
said City Engineer and hereby approved, and such addenda
or modirications thereto as may be appro~ed prior to the award-
ing of bids therefor.
, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that ,the City Clerk ,of the City of
Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to publish
a notioe according to law, inviting sealed proposals for the fur-
nishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and equipment,
and all utilities and transportation, in~luding power, fuel and
water, and performing all work necessary to construct and complete
in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict aocordanc~ with said

detailed designs, plans, proriles, drawimgs and specirications as
prepared by said City f:gineer , th~ public improvement here-
inabove mentioned and escribed, and rixing the l~th day or
M~ ' 1951---, at the ho~r of 7:0 o'clock P. M.
as he date and hour ror the opening or said bids at the City
Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that
said notice shall be published twice, the first or which publica-
tions shall be at least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for
the opening of bids, and that said pUblications shall be at least
five (5) days apart.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that th~ successrul bidder or
bidders shall be required to enter 'into a contract with the City
or Anaheim in the manner and rorm approved by the City Attorney of
the City of Anaheim for the construction,. installation and comple-
tion or said public improvement hereinabove mentioned and described,
in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by said
City Engineer , the notice inviting sealed proposals, this
resolution and all applicable City Ordinances or Code Sections and
the laws or the State of California, and shall be required to post
bonds and insurance in the amounts and within the time required by
law, as specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals, and in
a form appro~ed by the City Attorney.
