RESOLUTION NO. 3828
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM GRANTING A VARIANCE. (724)
WHEREAS, the City Pl~nning Commission of the City of Ana-
heim did receive a petition from the property owner sand/or
~ent of certain real propert:' situated in the City
of An eim, County of Orange, State of ;alifornia, described as
follows:
The West 361.15 feet of the South 361.99 feet of
the Fairview Colony Tract, measured from the east
line of Euclid Avenue and the north line of Katella
Avenue.
(Said property is located at the Northwest corner of
Euclid Avenue and Katella Avenue.)
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a pub-
lic hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said peti-
tJon on March 18, 1957 , notices of which said pUblic
hearings were duly given as required by law and the provisions of
Section 9200.17 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investiga-
tion and studies made by itself and in its behalf and after due
consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing,
did adopt its Resolution No. 189 , recommending to the City Coun-
cil of the City of Anaheim that Variance No. 724 be granted upon
the conditions stated in said resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that:
1. There are exceptional or extraordinar: circum-
stances or conditions appl~cable to the property
involved or to the intenden use of the property
that do not apply generally to the property or
class of use in the same vicinity and zone.
2. That such a variance is necessary for the pre-
servation and enjoyment of R substantial property
right possessed by other propertJ in the same
vicinity and zone and denied to the property in
question.

3. That the granting of such ,""riance will not be
materially detrimental to the public welfare or
injurious to the property or improvements in such
vicinity and zone in which the property is located.
4. That the g:r>anting of such '\Tariance will not ad-
versely affect the comprehensive general zoning
plan.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that a conditional zon:lng variance be, and the
same is hereby granted iI GEO. M. HOLSTEIN & SONS, 166 East 17th
Street, Costa Hesa, Cal~rnia, to erect and maintain a temporary'"
direotional sign to adv~tise the sale of homes and lots in Trac~s
No. 2425 and No. 2779, 'lfpon the propert;y here inabove described,

subject to the followine; conc.itions:
1. Size of sign to De 10 feet by 25 feet.
2. Sign to be at least 6 feet off ground.

4. Permit to be obtained from Building epar men.
5. Maximum oeriod for installation and maintenance of sign,
six (6) months. Variance No. 724 shall expire 6 months
from date hereof.
6. Minimum setback of 10 feet from right-of-way line required.
7. Sign to be set back 25 feet from corner.
8. No sign variance to be allowed for tracts outside City Limits.
9. Permit fee, $25.00 per sign.
The City Council hereby reserves the right to revoke such
variance permit for good cause or failure of said owner S or their
heirs, suocessors or assigns, to comply with the Anaheim Munioipal
Oode and regulations and the conditions herein. Said varianoe i8
granted for the term presoribed by the Anaheim Municipal Oode unless
otherwise specified herein.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me this
