RESOLUTION NO. 13800
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMIN!NG THAT PUB-
LIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY RE~UIRE THE CON-
STRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVE-
MENT, TO WIT: THE LINCOLN AVENUE SEWER
IMPROVEMENT, FROM ~OO FEET EAST OF CRESCENT
WAY TO CRESCENT WAY, JOB NO. 1092;
AND APPROVING THE DESIGNS, PLAN~, PROFILES,
DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUC-
TION THEREOF; AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF
SAID PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID
PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE
INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the con-
struction and completion or a public improvement in the City of
Anaheim, to wit:
The Linooln Avenue Sewer Improvement, oonsisting
of the oonstruction or a V.C.P. sewer lateral in
Lincoln Avenue from 900 feet East of Cresoent Way
to Cresoent Way, including trenching, manhole
construction, backfill, reaurraeing, and appurtenant
work as indicated on the plans, Job No. 1092.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed Gear!e E. iO~Oke,
City Engineer to prepare detailed designs, pans, pro lIes,
drawtngs and specifications, and estimates or quantities and costs
and make necessary surveys ror the construction or said public im-
provement; and
WHEREAS, said Eqgineer has prepared said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for the construction of
said public improvement and has submitted the same to the City Coun-
cil; and
WHEREAS, the City Council rinds that the detailed designs,
plana, profiles, drawings and specifications for said public improve-
ment above-mentioned are in accordance with good engineering practice
and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements of the City of
Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said area ror the purposes
ror which they are intended, and that they are adequate for the con-
struction or said public improvement and should be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, proriles, drawings and
specifications for said public improvement hereinabove mentioned
and described be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted as
prepared by said City Englnee~.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said pUblic improvement
shall be constructA~ in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, proriles, drawings and specifications as prepared by
said CIty E~lneer and hereby approved, and such addenda
or modifications thereto as may be approved prior to the award-
ing or bids thereror.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk or the City of
Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to publish
a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals for the fUr-
nishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and equipment,
and all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel and
wate~, and performing all work necessary td constrUct and complete
in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accordance with said
detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as
prepared by said CItl E~lneer , the public improvement here-
inabove mentioned and described, and rixing the 23rd day of
A~ril , 195-1--, at the hour or 7:00 o'clock p. M.
as he date and hour ror the opening of said bids at the City
Council Chambers in the City Hall tn the City of Anaheim, and that
said notice shall be published twice, the rirst of which publica-
tions shall be at least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for
the opening of bids, and that said publications shall be at least
rive (5) days apart.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successfUl bidder or
bidders shall be reqnired to enter into a contract with the City
or Anaheim in the manner and rorm approved by the City Attorney of
the City or Anaheim ror the construction, installation and comple-
tion or said public improvement hereinabove mentioned and described,
in aocordance with the plans and specirications prepared by said
City ErfIneer , the notice inviting sealed proposals, this
resolut on and all applicable City Ordinances or Code Sections and
the laws or the State or Calirornia, and shall be required t~ post
bonds and insurance in the amounts and within the time required by
law, as specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals, and in
a rorm approved by the City Attorney.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was approved and signed by me this
9th day or April , 195-1--.
