WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did caul. to
be published in a newspaper of general cl~oulation, printed, pUblished and
ciroulated in the Oity of Anaheim, to wit: The Anaheim Eulletin, on the

se . ed propoSals for furnishing the following:
All plant, labor, services, materials and eqaip-
ment, and all utilities and transportation, in-
oluding power, fuel and water, and performing
all york necessary to construot and complete in
a good and workmanlike manner, in strict aocord-
anoe with the speoifications, plans and drawing.
therefor on file in the offioe of the City Clerk
of the City of Anaheim, the following public im-
provement, to wit: The Linooln-Brookhurst Sewer
Improvement, on Brookhurst Street to a point 620
feet South of Lincoln Avenue, and on the south
side of Linooln Avenue to a point 1250 feet east
of Brookhurst street, oonsisting of the construo-
tion of 8-inch and la-inch V.C.P, sewer laterals,
together with wye., manholes, steel Jaoking, and
appurtenant work, as indicated on the plans, JOD
No. 1082
In aooordanoe with the designs, plans, profiles and speoifioations pre-
pared bl~~~r. l!:, jlQlvek.e. City J&Biril\l8oRr and the notioe invitIng
sealed ppoposa1s, whioh said notioe speoified that sealed proposals as
speoified in said notioe would be reoeived up until 7:00 o.olook P.M.
of the U th day of December , 19 56 , and whioh said not ioe
did stat. and deolare that, pursuant to the provisions of Seotion 1770 of
the Labor Oode, the City Counoil of the City of Anaheim had asoertained
the prevailing rate of wages for eaoh type of labor needed to exeoute
said contraot and did set forth the prevailing hourly wage soale so ascer-

WHEREAS, at a regular meeti~ of the City Oounoil held on the
11th day of J)e",ember , 19 , at the hour of '7:0~
o.olook P.M. of said date, said City Counoil did hold a publio hearing
for the purpose of opening sealed proposals reoeived up to that time, tor
furnishIng of all plant, labor, servioes, materials,and equipment, and all
utilities and transportation, inoluding power, fuel and water, and per-

forming all work neoessary to oonstruot and complete, in a good and
workmanlike manner, in striot aooordanoe with the speoifioations,
plans and drawings therefor on file in the office of the Oity Olerk
of the Oity of Anaheim, of the publio imp~ovement hereinabove more
partiou1arly desoribed and set forth; and
WHEREAS, the City Oouncil did thereupon refer said bids to
the City En~ln.er for examination
tabulation and report to the Oity Oounoil, and said Oity En2ineer
did thereupon examine and tabulate said sealed
proposals and report the result of his tabulation to the City Oounoi1;

WHEREAS, the City Oounci1 did meet in regular
seseion on the 11th dq of D.c.....r , 1956 , at the hour
of 1:'0 o'olook P.K, to oonsider the sealed proposals submitted
for furnishing materials and performing the work hereinabove more
partiou1ar1y desoribed and set forth, and the City En~ine.r
of the Oity of Anaheim did thereupon make his
report and submit his tabulation of said sealed proposals, and the
City Counoi1 did thereupon find and determine that the sealed proposal
submitted by PLUMBING CONTRACTORS,INC.. a+NITARY DIVISION
for the oonstruotion, installation and oompletion of said LINCOLN-

heraiDahove mentioned and desoribed was the lowest responsible pro-
posal submitted therefor, and thereuponaooepted said bid and did
award a oontract to said PLUMBING CONTRACTORS. INC.. SANITARY DIVISION
for furnishing all plant, labor, servioes, materials and equipment
and all utilities and transportation, inoluding power, fuel and water,
and performing all work necessary to construot and oomplete, in a good
and workmanlike manner, in strict acoordance with the speoifioations,
plans, and drawings, the said public improvement as specified in said
notioe inviting sealed proposals, and did authorize the Kayor and the
City Clerk of the City of Anaheim to execute a oontraot for and on
behalf of the Oity of Anaheim with PLUMBING CONTRAOTORS. INC,. SANITARY
DIVISION , which said oontract was duly
made and entered into on the 14th day of Deoember
19..1L.; and
WHEREAS, the said PLUMBING CONTRAOTORS,INC., SANITARY DIVISION
has furnished all plant, labor, services, materials and equipment and
all utilities and transportation, and performed all work neoessary
for the oonstruotion and completion, in a good and workmanlike manner,
in striot accordanoe with the speoifioations, plans, drawings, of said
pub1io improvement as speoified in the notioe inviting sealed proposals
and in the detail, design, plans, profiles, drawings and speoifications
prepared by Geor&e E. Hol.yoke. City En~in..r , and the oontraot
made and entered into with it by the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City En~ineer
has duly oertified to the oonstruotion and oompletion of said pUblio
improvement hereinabove mentioned and described in aooordanoe with
the plans and speoifioations and the contract doouments duly made and
entered into with saidPLUKBING OONTRACTORS. INO. SANITARY ~ 1
BIVISION; and.
WHEREAS, the Oity Oounoil finds that said oontraotor has oom-
p1eted said pUblic improvement hereinabove more partiou1ar1y desoribed
~ in aooordance with the provisions of the oontract and the oontraot
documents, and that notioe of completion should be filed and payment
of the balanoe due said oontraotor authorized in accordanoe with the
contract documents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counoi1 of the Oity
of Anaheim that all plant, labor, servioes, materials and equipment
