MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE: STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMEJIT OF PUBL IC WORKS,. THE ORANGE COUNTY n.OOD CotlTROL DISTRICT AND THE CITY OF FULLERTON FOR THE. CONSTRU. CT. ION. BY T~ STATE OF THE HOUSTON STooM DRAIN EXTENSION, FR'* GILBERT ,AVENUE TO 658 FEET WESTERLY OF BROOKliURST RCW>; AND AUTHOR- IZING THE CITY AUDITOR.TO DEPOSIT ANAHEIM'S SHARE OF THE ESTIMATED COST THERtOF WITH THE STATE. WHEREAS, the State of California, by and through its Department of Public Works, Division of Highways, proposes to construct and maintain a concrete lined drainage channel and a reinforced concrete box between points 658 feet westerly and 945 feet easterly of Brookhurst Road, being a necessary Storm Drain System to convey storm waters within the State's right of way through the Brookhurst Interchange; and WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim would benefit by reason of the construction of a channel from Gilbert Avenue to a point 658 feet westerly of the center line of Brookhurst Road; and WHEREAS, the State of California, Division of High- ways, has offered to enter into an a~reement with the Orange County Flood Control District, the City of Fullerton and the City of Anaheim, a form of which agreement has been this day submitted to the City Council, whereby the State agrees to construct said Storm Drain System upon the terms and condi- tions set forth in said agreement, for the following estimated costs: Lined Channel $30,265.00 Contingencies 5% Sub-Total l,,18.2~ 131, 1 .2 cl,1~~.8~ . 3. ,9 .0 10% Construction Engineering State's Share (per Estimate No. I) Balance 13,506.00 $21,450.08 8.000.00 $13,450.08 $ 8,010.05 :$ 5,380.03 Distr ict 's Share Balance Fullertonts Share: 0.60 x $13,450.08 Anaheim's Share: 0.40 x $13,450.08 ,,,........
