AN ORDINANCE OF. THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ADOPTING
BY REFERENCE A COMPREHENSIVE ORDINANCE CODE
TO BE KNOWN AND DESIGNATED AS THE "ANAHEIM
14UNI.CIPAL CODE", AND REPEALING ALL OTHER
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
WITH SAID CODE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. APPROVAL OF CODE
The City Council does hereby find and determine,
as a result of study and investigation by the City -and its
City Attorney, that -the Anaheim Municipal Code is an approved
Code for adoption by reference within the meaning of Section
50022.1 of the Government Code of the State of California.
SECTION 2. ADOPTION OF CODE
That pursuant to the provisions of Sections 50022.1
to 50022.10,. both .inclusive, of .the Government .Code of the
State -of California, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
does hereby adopt by reference the Anaheim Municipal Code
with amendments thereto.; that three copies shall be filed in
the office of the City Clerk of the City. of Anaheim at -least
fifteen (15) days preceding the hearing hereinafter provided
for; and shall be kept there for public inspection while said
Code is in force, all -of which copies shall be certified to
be true copies by the City Clerk; that following the adoption
of said Code the City Clerk shall- at all times maintain a
reasonable supply of copies of said Code available for purchase
by the public at a moderate price, not to.exceed the actual
cost thereof to the City of Anaheim.
SECTION 3. PUBLIC HEARING AND. NOTICE.
After the first reading of the title of this
Ordinance and the title of the Code to be .adopted hereby, there
shall be a public hearing thereon on the 10th'day of December,
1974, and notice thereof shall be given in accordance with'
Section 6066 of the Government .Codeof the State of California
by publication of a notice in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper
of general -circulation printed, published and circulated with-
in the City of Anaheim. Said notice shall be published once a
week for two successive weeks. The period of the notice shall
commence on the first day of the publication and terminate at
the end of the 14th day including therein the first day, the
first of which publications shall be at least fifteen (15) days,
and the second of which publications shall be at least eight (8.)
days, preceding the date of said hearing. --.-Said notice shall
state the time and place of said hearing and shall state that
copies of said Anaheim Municipal Code,'being considered for
adoption, are on file with. the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim
and are open to public inspection. Said notice shall contain a
description sufficient to give noticeto interested persons of
the purpose of the Code to. be adopted by reference and the
subject matter thereof. The City Council does hereby find and
determine that the -following is a sufficient.description to be
incorporated in said notice to give notice to interested persons
of the purpose of the Code and the subject matter thereof:

A Municipal Code entitled "Anaheim Municipal
Code", comprising all general ordinances of
the City of Anaheim up to and including
'^ Ordinance Number. 3279, passed and adopted
March 26, 1974.
SECTION 4. AMENDMENTS.
That in accordance with Section 50022.7 of the
Government Code of the State of California, the City Council
of the City of Anaheim may propose and adopt amendments to
the Anaheim Municipal Code and, in the discretion of the City
Council, .such .amendments may be adopted by reference as
provided in Section 50022.7 of the Government Code of the
State of California, or an ordinance may be enacted in the
regular manner, setting forth'.the entire text of such amendment.
SECTION S.
That Ordinance Number 1488 adopting a comprehensive
ordinance .code for the City of Anaheim be, and thesame is
hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. VIOLATIONS OF CODE PENALTY
Unless otherwise expressly provided herein, any
person violating any of the provisions or failing to. comply
with any of the mandatory requirements of this Code, shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor. Any person convicted of a misdemeanor
under this Code where punishment -is not otherwise provided for
herein, shall be punished by a fine of not more than five
hundred dollars, or by imprisonment In the city or county jail
for a period not exceeding six months, or by both such fine and
imprisonment.. Each such person shall be. guilty of a separate
offense for each and every day during any portion of which any
violation of any provisions of this Code is committed, continued
or permitted by any such person and shall be punishable
accordingly.
SECTION 7.
.All ordinances adopted -subsequent to Ordinance Number
3279 passed March -26s, 19741, are not'repealed hereby, but shall
be added to this code as they arepassed and as soon as they
are printed.
SECTION 8.
It is hereby ordained that said Anaheim Municipal
Code be adopted by reference .and that said Code need not be
published.
SECTION 9.
The ordinance code constitutes entirely new and
recompiled ordinances and is in lieu of, and in place of, the
codified ordinances -of the City of Anaheim previously adopted
by. Ordinance Number 1488 dated the 2nd day of August,- 1960.

SECTION 10..
The City Clerk shall certify to the .passage and
adoption of this Ordinance and shall -cause the same to be
published once within fifteen (15) days from and after .its
adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circu-
lation, printed, published and circulated in the City of
Anaheim, and thirty (30.) days from and after its final passage
it shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by me
