AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AMENDING TITLE 14, BY ADDING CHAPTER
14.57, SECTIONS 14.57.010, 14.57.020
AND 14.57.030, RELATING TO TRAFFIC
CONTROL.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
"SECTION 1.
That Title 14 -of the Anaheim Municipal Code be
amended by enacting a new Chapter 14.57,.Sections 14.57.010,
14.57.020 and 14.57.030 to read as follows:
"CHAPTER 14.57 TRAFFIC CONTROL
SECTIONS: 14.57.010 RESPONSIBILITY FOR TRAFFIC CONTROL
14.57.020 DIRECTION OF TRA_'F'FIC
14.57.030. TRAFFIC CONTROL OFFICER DEFINED
14.57.010 RESPONSIBILITY FOR TRAFFIC CONTROL. Designated
personnel of the Anaheim Police Department are
hereby authorized to direct traffic by voice,
hand or signal whenever and wherever necessary
in the interests- of safety or to expedite the
flow of traffic.
14.57.020 DIRECTION OF TRAFFIC. No person other than a
police officer, a person deputized by the Chief
of Police, or a Traffic Control Officer shall
director attempt to direct traffic by voice,
hand or other signal in the absence of a police
officer, provided, however, that a member of the
Anaheim Fire Department wearing the badge or
insignia of a fireman and actings in the course
of his duties, may direct traffic to protect the
personnel and equipment of the Fire Department.
14.57.030 TRAFFIC CONTROL OFFICER DEFINED. "Traffic Control
Officer" shall mean a part-time civilian employee
so designated by the Police'Department."
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption,.in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and cir-
culated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after its
final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.
