A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNOIL OF THE OITY or ANAHEIM FINALLY AOCEPTING THE COMPLETION AND THE FURNISHING OF ALL P~T, LABOR, SER- VICES, MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENW AND ALL UTILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION INCLUDING POWER, FUEL AND WATER, AND PERFORMING ALL WOHl{ NECESSARY TO CONSTRUCT AND OOMPLETE THE FOLLOWING PUBLI'8 IMPROVEMENT I THE PLACENTIA AVENUE SEWER FR M KATELLA AVENUE TO 350 l~~T NUrtTH u~ wINoTuN- ROAD, JOB NO. 1076. 3692 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did oause to be pUblished in a newspaper of general ci~culation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Anaheim, to wit: The Anaheim Bulletin, on the 26th day of Seotember and 2nd day of Octobe~ 1956 ,a notioe inviting sealed proposals for furnishing the following: All olant, labor, services, materials and equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel and Kater, and ;:>erforming 8.11 work necessary to construct and complete in a good and "J'Orkme.nlike manner, in strict accordance with the sDecifications, plans emu drawings therefor on file in the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, the following public improvement, to wit: The Placentia Avenue Sewer from Katella Avenue to 350 feet North of 'dine ton Road, consisting of the c,)nstruction of V.C.P. sewer, sizes as indicated on the plans, anet including excavation, manhole construction, resurfacing, jacking, and aDpurtenant work as indicated on the plans, Job. No. 1076. in accordance with the designs, plans, profiles and specifications pre- pared by George E. Holyoke. City Engineer and the notice inviting sealed proposals, which said notioe speoified that s~aled proposals as speoified in said notice would be received up qntil 7:00 o'clock P.M. of the 9th day of October ,1956 ,and which said notice did state and deolare that, pursuant to the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code, the City Council of the City of Anaheim had ascertained the prevailing rate of wages for each type of labor needed to execute said contraot and did set forth the prevailing hourly wage scale so ascer- '_ ,"'-" tained; and WHEREAS, at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 9th day of October , 19 56 ,at the hour of 7:00 o'clook P.M. of said date, said City Council did hold a publio hearing for the purpose of opening sealed proposals reoeived up to that time, tor furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials,and equipment, and all utilities and transportation, inoluding power, fuel and water, and per- -1- - _. ,...... forming all work neoessary to oonstruot and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict aooordanoe with the $peolfioatlons, plans and drawings therefor on file in the oftioe of the Oity Olerk ot the City of Anaheim, of the publio improvement hereinabove more partioularly desoribed and set forth; and WHEREAS, the Oity Oouncil did thereupon refer said bids to the City Zngineer for examlnation tabulation and report to the City Oounol1, and said City Engineer .cUd thereupon examine and tabulate said sealed proposall and report the result of his tabulation to the 01ty Oounoll; and WHEREAS, the C1ty Oounoil did meet i~ regular s'881on on the 9th dq of October , 19 .50 , at the holU" ot 7:GO o'olook P.H. to oonsider the sealed proposals submitt.d. for furnlshins materials and pertorming the work hereinabove more partioularly desoribed and set forth, and the City Engineer ot the City of Anaheim d1d thereupo1!l. make his report and sUDmlt his tabulation of said sealed propo8als, and the CU, Counoil did thereupon tind and determine that the sealctd proposal sUbaitted by J R RARHF.TT. lS722 E. st. Gertrud~ Place. Santa Ana.Calif. for the oonstruotion, installation and oompletion of said Placent~~ Ave~ue Sewer from Katella ~ve. to 1~O ft. N. of WinAton ROAd. ~nh~ln76 h.r.ina~ove mentioned and desoribed was the lowest responslble pro- posal submitted therefor, and thereupon aooepted said bid and dld award a oontract to said J. s. BAFl~TT for furnlshing all plant, labor, servioes, materials and equipment and all utilities and transportation, inoluding power, fuel an4 wat8r, and pertorming all work neoessary to oonstruct and oomplete, 11'1. & go04 and workmanlike manner, in strlot aooordanoe wlth the speolfloatlons, piaas, and drawings, the sald publio lmprovement as speoified 11'1. said notloe lnvlting sealed proposals, and did authorize the Kayar and the Oit, Clerk ot the Oity ot Anaheim to exeoute a oontraot for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim wlth J. S. BARRETT , whioh said oontraot was duly made and entered 1nto on the lOth day of October 19..2i-; and , WHEREAS, the said J. S. BARRETT has turnished all plant, labor, servloes, materials and equipment and all utillties and transportation, and performed all work neoessary tor the oonstruotion and oompletion, in a good and workmanlike manner, in striot aooordanoe with the speoifioations, plans, drawlngs, ot sald publio improvement as speoified in the notloe invlting sealed proposals and 11'1. the deta11, des1gn, plans, profiles, drawings and speo1tloatlons prepared by: George E. iolyoke, City Engineer.. , and the oontl'aot made and entered into with him by the Oity of Anaheim) and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has dulr oertif1ed to the oonstruo1l1on and oompletion ot said pUblic improvement hereinabove mentioned and desor1bed 1n aooordanoe with the plans and speoifioation. and the oontraot doouments duly made and entered into w1 th said J.
