66-762A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH KING HALL AND
MRS. JUNE A. SALOW WITH REFERENCE TO THE PRO-
DUCTION OF "A CHRISTMAS CAROL OR THE MAN IN
THE CROOKED HAT" AND ACCOMPANYING MUSIC.
WHEREAS, King Hall has originated and written a
certain new and original version of a dramatic composition
entitled "A Christmas Carol or The Man in the Crooked Hat"
and is taking the necessary steps to obtain a copyright, and
is desirous of granting to the City of Anaheim the sole and
exclusive right, license and privilege to produce, perform and
present, or cause to be produced, performed and presented, said
play for the Anaheim Children's Theatre Season, and to grant to
the City all other rights to said play or dramatic composition
for theatrical and other purposes; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. June A. Salow has originated and written
a new and original musical score, including overture, between
scene music, integral songs, and incidental music to accompany
"A Christmas Carol or The Man in the Crooked Hat" and is taking
the necessary steps to obtain a copyright, and is desirous of
granting to the City the sole and exclusive right, license and
privilege to produce, perform and present, or cause to be pro
duced, performed and presented, said score during the Anaheim
Children's Theatre Season and to grant to the City all other
rights to said score, overture, between scene music, integral
songs and incidental music; and
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of producing and pre-
senting "A Christmas Carol or The Man in the Crooked Hat" accom-
panied by the aforementioned music for the Anaheim Children's
Theatre Season.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the Agreement this day submitted to
the City Council to be made and entered into by and between the
City of Anaheim, King Hall and Mrs. June A. Salow providing
for the production of "A Christmas Carol or The Man in the
Crooked Hat," a dramatic composition written by King Hall,
accompanied by a new and original musical score including
overture and between scene music, integral songs and incidental
music, originated and written by Mrs. June A. Salow, upon the
terms and conditions and for the term set forth in said Agree-
ment, be and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby authorized to execute said Agreement
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 6th day of December, 1966.

do hereby certify that the foregoing is the original of Resolution
No. 66R -762 duly passed and adopted by the Anaheim City Council on
December 6, 1966.

WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said contractor
has completed said public improvement hereinabove more particu-
larly described in accordance with the provisions of the contract
and the contract documents, and that notice of completion should
be filed and payment of the balance due said contractor authorized
in accordance with the contract documents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that all plant, labor, services, materials
and equipment and all utilities and transportation, amd the
performance ofaall work necessary to construct, install and com-
plete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accordance
with the specifications, plans and drawings therefor on file in
the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, together
with the appurtenances thereto, said public improvement herein
above more particularly described and set forth, in the City of
Anaheim, by said contractor, be, and the same are hereby accepted,
subject, nevertheless, to all the terms, conditions and provisions
of the contract documents, and that the balance due said con-
tractor for said work be paid to it thirty -five (35) days
from and after final acceptance off said wwork as evidenced by the
adoption of this resolution, but not sooner than thirty (30) days
after the date of the filing of notice of completion, excepting
only such sum or sums as may lawfully be withheld in accordance
with the provisions of said contract and contract documents.
That acceptance by the contractor of said payments made in accord-
ance with said final estimate shall operate and shall be a release
to the City of Anaheim, its officers, agents and employees from
all claims and liabilities due the contractor for anything done
or furnished or withheld or for anything relating to the work or
any act or neglect of the City, its officers, agents and em-
ployees, excepting only claims against the City for amounts with-
held by the City at the time of such payment.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk of the City of Anaheim be, and they are hereby authorized
to execute and file a notice of completion of said work as
required by law.
