A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DENYING VARIANCE NO. 1835
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did receive a petition for zoning variance from
Lloyd R. Pettengill, owner,
of certain real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County
of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
PARCEL 1: The North 100.00 feet of the West 435.60 feet
of the North 10 acres of the South 20 acres of the south-
west quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 21,
Township 4 South, Range 10 West of the San Bernardino
meridian, in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State
of California.
EXCEPT the East 182 feet thereof.
PARCEL 2: That portion of Lot 1 of Tract No. 3303, in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as
said lot is shown on a map of said tract recorded in Book
110, pages 33 and 34, Miscellaneous Maps, records of said
Orange County, lying West of a line described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the Westerly prolongation of the
most Northerly line of said Lot 1 which is distant thereon
South 89° 58' 00" West 182 feet from the Northwest corner
of said lot, and running thence South parallel with the
center line of Euclid Avenue, as shown on said map of Tract
No. 3303, a distance of 103.17 feet, more or less, to the
Southerly line of said Lot 1.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a
public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on
October 10 19 66 notice of which said public hearing
was duly given as required by law and the provisions of Title
18, Chapter 18.76 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said City Planning Commission after due
inspection, investigation and studies made by itself and in its
behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports
offered at said hearing, did adopt Resolution No. PC66 120
denying Variance No. 1835
and
WHEREAS, thereafter within twenty -two (22) days from
the date of the adoption of said resolution, the City Council
did elect, upon its own motion, to review the action taken by the
City Planning Commission in denying said variance and did
set a public hearing thereon to be held on the 22nd day of
November 19 66 at 7 :00 o'clock P.M. in the City Hall in
the City of Anaheim, and notice of such public hearing was duly
given as required by law and the provisions of Title 18, Chapter
18.76 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that:
1. There is no substantial property right possessed
by other property in the same vicinity and zone
and denied the subject property.
2. It appears that the subject property can be
adequately developed and used under the present
zone.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning
Commission denying Variance No. 1835, be, and the same is hereby
sustained, and that the petition for a zoning variance permitting
waivers of the minimum number of parking spaces required and
maximum building height limitation of the Anaheim Municipal Code,
on the property hereinbefore described, be, and the same is hereby
denied.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 22nd day of November, 1966.

ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Schutte.
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
Anaheim approved and signed said resolution on the 22nd day of
November, 1966.
