66-733WHEREAS, on the 12th day of October, 1966, the Local Agency Formation Commission did find that the Esperanza High School Annexation, copy of the description of which is attached to this resolution, marked "Exhibit A" and made a part hereof, was definite and certain; and WHEREAS, thereafter, on or about the 17th day of November, 1966, the Board of Education of the Placentia Unified School District did petition, by its verified petition, that the land included in said Esperanza High School Annexation be annexed to the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds that said petition is proper and in compliance with Section 35201 of the Government Code of the State of California and that the City of Anaheim agrees to the annexation of said territory. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that it petition and request, and it does hereby petition and request, that said Esperanza High School Annexation, as described in Exhibit "A," be made and accomplished; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to file with the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange a petition, substantially in compliance with the requirements of Section 35203 of the Government Code of the State of California, requesting that the territory included in the description, Exhibit "A," be annexed to the City of Anaheim. Rivas according to a map attached to and made a part of the Decree of Partition of the Rancho Canon de Santa Ana, rendered in Case No. 1978 of the 17th Judicial Dis- trict Court of California, a ceritifed copy of which is recorded in Book 28, page 158 of Deeds, in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, located in the County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: Beginning at a point in the existing City limit line of the City of Anaheim, as established by the Yorba Annexation passed November 13, 1962 by Ordinance No. 1777, filed with the Secretary of State August 10, 1964 and recorded August 13, 1964 in Official Records of Orange County, California, said point of beginning being the Northeast corner of that certain parcel of land conveyed to Maurice R. Burnell and Jean C. Burnell, husband and wife, by deed recorded November 13, 1956 in Book 3708, page 61 of Official Records of Orange County, California, said Northeast corner and point of beginning being distant from the centerline intersection of Orchard Drive and Orange- thorpe Avenue the following courses and distances: North 3 26' 30" East 1,120.42 feet, more or less; North 77 30' 00" West 426 feet, more or less; North 11 55' 00" East 330 feet, more or less. The intersection of said centerline of Orchard Drive and Orangethorpe Avenue is shown on a Map of Tract No. 4181, recorded in Book 156, pages 21, 22 and 23 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence 1. South 11 55' way line filed in Recorder 00" West of Orchard Drive (40 feet wide) as shown on a Record Book 2, page 18 of Record of Surveys in the office of said Orange County, California; 310 feet, more or less, leaving the City Limit line of the City of Anaheim and following along Page 2 Of 2 thence said existing a portion of the Easterly right of way line of said Orchard Drive (40 feet wide) to an intersection with the Northerly right of way line of Orchard Drive (40 feet wide) as said intersection is shown on the aforementioned Record of Survey Map filed in Book 2, page 18 of Record of Surveys, in the office of the County Recorder of said Orange County, California; thence 3. South 77 30' 00" East 244 feet, more or less„ along the Northerly right of way line of the last mentioned Orchard Drive to an intersection with the Easterly line of the land conveyed to the aforementioned Maurice R. Burnell and Jean C. Burnell, husband and wife, said point of intersection also being in the existing City of Anaheim City limit line as established by the aforementioned Yorba Annexation; thence 4. North 11 55' 00" East 310 feet, more or less, along the said existing City of Anaheim City limit line, also being the Easterly line of the land conveyed to said Maurice R. Burnell and Jean C.
