4361FOLLOWS: ORDINANCE NO. 4361 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM FIXING AND LEVYING A PROPERTY TAX ON FULL CASH VALUE OF ALL PROPERTY WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1982/83, DECLARING THE URGENCY THEREOF, AND DECLARING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT IMMEDIATELY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS SECTION 1. That pursuant to Section 93 of the Revenue Taxation Code of the State of California there be, and is fixed and levied, a property tax rate for the fiscal year 1982/83 of .00657 percent of full value of all real and personal property within the corporate limits of the City of Anaheim, for the purpose of paying the annual interest on bonds and such part of the principal as will become due before the proceeds of the next general tax levy will be available. The amount of funds to be generated from taxable property within the City of Anaheim as revenue to pay the voter approved indebtedness from this action is the sum of $381,928.00. SECTION 2. That the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim shall certify to the County Auditor of Orange County, the foregoing distribution of the tax rate of the City of Anaheim to be extended by him on the 1982/83 County Assessment Roll for the collection thereof in the same manner as County taxes. SECTION 3. DECLARATION OF URGENCY This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its adoption. The facts constituting such emergency are that City of Anaheim Charter Section 1208 requires that the City Council fix the rate and levy taxes on or before August 31 in any year. The required financial data was not available this year until August 17, 1982. The adoption of this Ordinance as an emergency measure is necessary for the immediate preservation of the peace, health, safety and general welfare of the citizens and visitors to the City of Anaheim. SECTION 4. DECLARATION OF IMMEDIATE EFFECT For the reasons set forth in Section 3 above, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force immediately upon and after its adoption. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in said City.
