ORDINANCE NO. 4444
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ADDING
SUBSECTION .135 TO SECTION 18.41.050 OF
CHAPTER 18.41 AND AMENDING SUBSECTION .031 OF
SECTION 18.84.062 OF CHAPTER 18.84 OF TITLE
18 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
ZONING.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS
SECTION 1.
That Subsection .135 be, and the same is hereby, added
to Section 18.41.050 of Chapter 18.41 of Title 18 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code, to read as follows:
".135 Planned Commercial Office/Light
Industrial Centers; provided such uses are integrated
within a single development having a minimum over-all
site area of five (5) acres and a common private
traffic circulation system. The uses within said
center shall consist of a combination of any permitted
or conditional uses expressly authorized in the CO
Zone together with any light industrial uses consist-
ing of the light manufacturing, processing, assem-
bling, packaging, servicing or fabrication of the
following:
Laboratories, experimental or research;
Laboratories, physical or chemical testing;
Pharmaceuticals or cosmetics;
Publishing books, periodical newspapers;
Scientific equipment assembly;
Communication equipment, components or supplies;
Drafting instruments or goods;
Electrical or electronic equipment, components or
products;
Research, development and testing laboratories and
facilities;
Scientific, optical, medical, dental or photographic
equipment, components and products;
Sound equipment, components or supplies; and
Other similar uses as expressly approved by the City.
None of the aforementioned uses shall be conducted out-of-
doors nor shall there be any outdoor storage of any products,
materials, components, supplies or equipment in conjunction
with any such uses."
SECTION 2.
That Subsection .031 of Section 18.84.062 of Chapter
18.84 of Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same
is hereby, amended to read as follows:
".031 The maximum building height shall be
thirty-five (35) feet above the average finished
grade levels of the building site on which it is
located measured at the exterior building walls; pro-
vided, however, that heights in excess of thirty-five
feet may be permitted by conditional use permit pur-
suant to the provisions of Chapter 18.03 of this
title."
SECTION 3. SAVINGS CLAUSE
Neither the adoption of this ordinance nor the repeal
hereby of any other ordinance of this City shall in any manner
affect the prosecution for violations of ordinances, which vio-
lations were committed prior to the effective date hereof, nor be
construed as a waiver of any license or penalty or the penal
provisions applicable to any violation thereof. The provisions of
this ordinance, insofar as they are substantially the same as or-
dinance provisions previously adopted by the City relating to the
same subject matter, shall be construed as restatements and con-
tinuations, and not as new enactments.
SECTION 4. SEVERABILITY
The City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby declares
that should any section, paragraph, sentence or word of this
ordinance, hereby adopted, be declared for any reason to be
invalid, it is the intent of the Council that it would have passed
all other portions of this ordinance independent of the elim-
ination herefrom of any such portion as may be declared invalid.
SECTION 5. CERTIFICATION
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this or-
dinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen
(15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper
of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in said
City, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage, it
shall take effect and be in full force.

THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 26th day of July, 1983.
