RESOLUTION NO. 3571

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM DESCRIBING THAT PORTION
OF THE GARDEN GROVE FIRE PROTECTION
DISTRICT WHICH HAS BEEN INOLUDED WITHIN
THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
BY ANNEXATION TO SAID CI'l'Y,AND DECLARING
SUCH PORTION OF SAID FIRE PROTECTION
DISTRICT WITHDRAWN FROM SAID DISTRICT IN
CONFORMITY WITH SECTION 14540 OF THE
HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, a certain portion of the Garden Grove Fire
Protection District was included within the City Limits of the
City of Anaheim by reason of the South Anaheim Annexation to the
City of Anaheim which was passed by Ordinance No. 10)2 of the
City of Anaheim and was filed with the Secretary of State as of
January 30, 1956; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
desires to withdraw said portion from said Garden Grove Fire
Protection District in conformity with Division 12, Part ),
Article 11, Section 14540 of the Health and Safety Code of the
state of California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council
of the City of Anaheim does hereby declare that the portion of
the Garden Grove Fire Protection District which has been included
within the City limits of the City of Anaheim by reason of the
South Anaheim Annexation is described as follows:

PARCEL 1: The Southwest quarter (SW!) of the
Southeast quarter (S~) of the Northwest quarter (NWi)
of Section 28, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B.&M,
Also, the West two (2) acres of the Southeast
quarter (SEt) of the Southeast quarter (S~) of the
Northwest quarter (NWt) of said Section 28.
Also, Lot 7 and the West 1.999 acres of Lot 8
of the Townsend Subdivision, as shown on a maD filed
in Book 5, page 40 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the office
of the County Recorder of Orange County, California.
PARCEL 2: The North 329.5 feet of the Northeast
quarter (NEi> of the Northeast quarter (NEt) of the
Southwest quar'er (SWt) of Section 28, Township 4 South,
Range 10 West, S. B. B. & M.
EXCEPTING therefrom the West 521.77 feet.
ALSO EXCEPTING therefrom that portion lying within
Orangewood Avenue (forty (40) feet in width).
PARCEL 3: The Southeast quarter (SEt) of the
Southwest quarter (SW!) of the Northwest quarter (NW;)
of Section 28, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B,&M.

PARCEL 4: The East half (Et) of the Northwest
quarte~f the Southwest quarter (S~) and the
West half (wi) of the Northeast quarter (NSi) of the
Southwest quarter (SWt) of Section 28, Township 4
South, Range 10 West, S. B. B. & M.
PARCEL 5: The West half (wi) of the Northeast
quarter lNEt) of Section 28, Township 4 South, Range
10 West, S. B. B. & M.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the above described
portion of the Garden Grove Fire Protection District is hereby
withdrawn from said Fire Protection District in conformity with
Division 12, Part 3, Article 11, Section 14540 of the Health and
Safety Code of the state of California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
directed to certify and file copies of this Resolution with the
state Board of Equalization, the governing body of the Garden
Grove Fire Protection District, the County Clerk or the Registrar
of Voters, and the County Assessor of Orange County.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me
this 22nd day of January , 1957.
