VN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM REPEALING
TITLE 8, CHAPTER 8.03 OF THE ANAHEIM MIUNICIPAL
CODE AND ADOPTING A NEW CHAPTER 3.08 IN ITS
PLACE AND STEAD.
THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Title 8, Chapter 8.08, of the Anaheim Municipal
Code be, and the same is hereby, repealed.
SECTION 2.
That Title 8, Chapter 8.08 be, and the same is hereby,
added to the Anaheim Municipal Code to read as follows:
,SECTION 8.08.010 COUNTY ORDINANCES ADOPTED
Subject to the particular additions, deletions and
amendments hereinafter set forth in this Chapter, the
rules, regulations, provisions and conditions set forth
in Articles 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 of Division
1 of Title 4 and Divisions 1, 2 and 3 of Title 5 of the
Codified Ordinances of the County of Orange, as amended,
or hereafter amended and the whole thereof, three full
printed copies of which were by the City Council ordered
filed in the Office of the City Clerk and which as so on
file are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part
hereof as fully and for all intents and purposes as though
set forth herein at length, shall be and the same are
hereby established and adopted as the rules, regulations,
provisions and conditions to be observed and followed to
govern animal control, welfare and license requirements
in the City of Anaheim.
SECTION 8.08.020 COUNTY ORDINANCE - AMENDMENT
Each and every reference set forth in the County
Ordinances hereinbefore adopted in Section 7.04.010, to
'Board of Supervisors' shall be deemed to mean 'City
Council' and each and every reference to the 'County' or
'County of Orange' shall be deemed to mean 'City of
Anaheim.'
SECTION 8.08.030 PENALTIES
Any person who violates any of the provisions of
Division 1 of Title 4 Divisions 1, 2 or 3 of Title 5 of
the Codified Ordinances of the County of Orange within
the City of Anaheim shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
SECTION 8.08.040 CITY ZONING REGULATIONS
Any provision to the contrary herein contained, it
is expressly ordained that the zoning regulations of the
City of Anaheim covering the animal control, welfare and,/
or number, type, health and possession of animals shall
be superior, and in the event of conflict with any of the
provisions of this chapter, the zoning regulations shall
control over the provisions of this chapter.

SECTION 8.08.050 VALIDITY
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this chapter is for any reason held to be un-
constitutional or invalid, such decision shall not affect
the validity or constitutionality of the remaining por-
tions of this chapter. The City Council of the City of
Anaheim hereby declares that it would have passed this
chapter and each section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase thereof, irrespective of the fact that one or more
of the sections, subsections, sentences, clauses or
phrases thereof be declared unconstitutional or invalid."
SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY.
The City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby declares
that should any section, paragraph, sentence or word of this
chapter of the Code, hereby adopted, be declared for any reason
to be invalid, it is the intent of the Council that it would
have passed all other portions of this chapter independent of
the elimination herefrom of any such portion as may be declared
invalid.
SECTION 4.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation rinted, published and cir-
culated in said City, and thirty (k0 days from and after its
final passage, it shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by me

AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor -of the City of Anaheim

1976.
