A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
APPROVING A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AND THE INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD,
OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS, LOCAL 47
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director met and conferred with officials and
employee representatives of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47,
representing the Anaheim Pad-time Customer Service Employees bargaining unit, to discuss
specific concerns relative to the wages for the classification of Part-time Utilities Service Worker;
and
WHEREAS, a Letter of Understanding between the parties has been prepared and
signed to be effective the first pay period following approval of this Letter of Understanding by
the Anaheim City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that it is in the best interest
of the City of Anaheim to approve said Letter of Understanding.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that
the Letter of Understanding dated September 3, 1999 between the International Brotherhood of
Electrical Workers, Local 47, and the City of Anaheim, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated by reference herein, is hereby approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim this 14th day of September 1999.

WORKERS, LOCAL 47
and the
CITY OF ANAHEIM
The City of Anaheim ("ANAHEIM") and the International Brotherhood of
Electrical Workers, Local 47 ("UNION"), representing the Anaheim Part-Time Customer
Service Employees bargaining unit, after meeting and conferring have reached an
understanding regarding wages for the classification of Part-Time Utilities Service
Worker. The parties agree to the following provisions:
Effective the first pay period following approval of this Letter of Understanding by
the Anaheim City Council, the classification of Part-Time Utilities Service Worker
shall be retitled and compensated as follows:

$16.09 - $19.57
Each Part-Time Utilities Service Representative who is actively employed the first
pay period following approval of this Letter of Understanding by the Anaheim City
Council shall receive a one-time lump sum payment of one hundred fifty dollars
($150.00).
