A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE WELFARE-TO-WORK
SUBGRANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR THE
TERM OF JULY 16, 1999 THROUGH JULY 15, 2002
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim (the "City") has been designated by the Governor of the State
of California as a Service Delivery Area (an "SDA") under the Job Training Partnership Act (the
"JTPA"); and
WHEREAS, the City is entitled to receive certain federal Welfare-to-Work formula subgrant
funding under the JTPA; and
WHEREAS, the State of California requires the approval of a Welfare-to-Work Subgrant
Agreement in order for the City to be eligible to receive such funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Subgrant Agreement. That certain Welfare-to-Work Subgrant
Agreement No. W965794 (the "Welfare-to-Work Subgrant Agreement") which (i) is attached
hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference and (ii) allocates funds in the amount
of One Million Sixty-Seven Thousand Three Hundred Forty Dollars ($1,067,340.00) to the City
of Anaheim, is hereby approved.
Section 2. City Manager Authorization. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
the Welfare-to-Work Subgrant Agreement, modifications thereto and related documents on
behalf of the City.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION IS PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THIS 14th ( ) DAY
