ORDINANCE NO. 3407
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
TITLE`. 7, CHAPTER 7.32, SECTION 7.32.010 OF THE
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO SOLICITING
OR CONDUCTING AC`T'IVITIES TO RAISE FUNDS FOR
CHARITIES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOLTS ORDAIN AS
SECTION 1.
That Title 7, Chapter 7.32, Section 7.32.010 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby, amended to
read as follows:
117.32..010 SOLICITING OR CONDUCTING ACTIVITIES TO RAISE
FUNDS FOR CHARITIES - PERI,TITS REQUIRED
It shall be unlawful for any person,
firm, association or corporation to make
any appeal to the public for a charity,
either by soliciting or collectins; gifts,
contributions, donations or subscriptions,
or by promoting or conducting any bazaar,
sale or exhibition, or by any other means
whatsoever, at any place or to any person
in the City of Anaheim, unless an an -plica-
tion therefor has been filed with and a.
permit issued by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim, in the manner herein pro-
vided. Nothing in this Chapter shall be
construed to apply to solicitations or
fund raising activities conducted solely
by means of radio or television broadcasts
or solely by means of newspapers of gen-
eral circulation or magazines or solely by
direct solicitation by United States mail."
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be -printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin, a
newspaper of general_ circulation, printed, published and circula-
ted in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after its final
passage, it shall tape effect and be in full .force.
