3398ORDINANCE NO. 3398
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM REPEALING
SECTION 6.21.140 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE
AND ADDING A NEW SECTION 6.21.140 PERTAINING
TO RUBBISH AND WASTE MATERIALS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Section 6.21.140 of Chapter 6.21, Title 6 of
the Anaheim Municipal Code, relating to Disposal of Rubbish and
Waste Materials be, and the same is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2.
That Title 6, Chapter 6.21 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code be, and the same is hereby, amended by adding thereto
Section 6.21.140 to read as follows:
"SECTION 6.21.140 RUBBISH AND WASTE MATERIALS -
COM'IERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL ESTAB-
LISHMENTS - CHARGES FOR
COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL
For the collection, removal and disposal of rubbish
and/or waste from commercial and industrial
establishments within the City of Anaheim, the
following charges shall be made for the following
services:
CLASS I. For three times a week collection for
fifty gallons or less of rubbish and/or waste
material, the sum of three dollars per month,
plus three dollars for each additional fifty
gallons of rubbish and/or waste material;
CLASS II. For six times a week collection for
fifty gallons or less of rubbish and/or waste
material, the sum of five dollars per month, plus
five dollars per month for each additional fifty
gallons of rubbish and/or waste material;
CLASS III. Special and/or irregular collection
of rubbish and/or waste material, five dollars
per cubic yard;
CLASS IV. For the collection, removal and
disposal of rubbish and/or waste materials from
industrial establishments, public and parochial
schools, and certain commercial establishments
within the City of Anaheim which by virtue of the
character and quantity of the rubbish or waste
materials to be removed and disposed of, the
charges will be the reasonable cost of the
removal thereof to be determined in each individual
case by said character and quantity of the rubbish
or waste materials to be removed and disposed of.

CLASS V. For one time per week collection for
fifty gallons or less of rubbish and/or waste
material, the sum of one dollar per month."
SECTION 4.
SEVERABILITY. The City Council of the City of Anaheim
hereby declares that should any section, paragraph, sentence or
word of this chapter of the Code hereby adopted be declared for
any reason to be invalid, it is the intent of the Council that
it would have passed all other portions of this chapter indepen-
dent of the elimination herefrom of any such portion as may be
declared invalid.
SECTION 5.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and cir-
culated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after its
final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by me
this 11th day of February , 1975.
