A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM CONSENTING TO THE CORREC-
TION AND RELOCATION OF THe BOUNDARY LINE
BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHE lM AND THE CITY
OF GARDEN GROVE.
WHEREAS, the City of Garden Grove has submitted to
the City Council of the City of Anaheim a petition request-
ing the consent of the City Council to the correction and
relocation of a portion of the boundary line existing between
the City of Anaheim and the City of Garden Grove; and
WHEREAS, the legal description of the property
which will be affected by said correction and relocation of
said boundary line is as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of a line parallel
with and 30.00 feet northerly, measured at right
angles, from the north line of the Southwest one-
quarter (SW!) of Section 27, Township 4 South,
Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base & Meridian,
with the northerly prolongation of the easterly
line of the Northwest one-quarter (NW!) of the
Northeast one-quarter (NEt) of said Southwest one-
quarter (Swt), said intersection also being an
angle point in the city limits of the Cities of
Garden Grove and Anaheim; thence, southerly along
said prolongation and along said easterly line
and along said city limits line, to the south line
of said Northwest one-quarter (NW!); thence,
westerly, along said south line, to the southeast
corner of Tract No. 2224, as shown on a map there-
of recorded in Book 70, page 16, Miscellaneous
Maps, Records of Orange County, California; thence,
northerly along the east line of said Tract No.
2224 and its northerly prolongation to said parallel
line and said city limits line; thence, easterly
along said parallel line and said city limits line,
to the point of beginning.
AND WHEREAS, upon consent to and approval of the
correction and relocation of said boundary, the boundary line
between the City of Anaheim and the City of Garden Grove
shall be relocated and corrected to read as follows:

Beginning at the intersection of a line parallel
with and 30.00 feet northerly, measured at right
angles, from the north line of the Southwest one-
quarter (swt) of Section 27, Township 4 South,
Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base & Meridian,
with the northerly prolongation of the east line
of Tract No. 2224, as shown on a map thereof
recorded in Book 70, page 16, Miscellaneous Maps,
Records of Orange County, California; thence
southerly, along said prolongation and along said
east line, to the southeast corner of Tract No.
222~ and the south line of the Northwest quarter
(NW4) of the Northeast one-quarter (NE!) of said
Southwest one-quarter (SW!); thence easterly

along said south line to the southeast corner
of said Northwest one-quarter (NWt); thence
southerly along the city limit lines.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council does find and de-
termine that it would be to the advantage and for the best
interests of the two cities and the property owners of the
property affected, to correct and relocate the boundary as
above indicated, pursuant to the provisions of Article 8,
Chapter I, Sections 50190 to 50200 of the Government Code
of California; and
WHEREAS, it appears that said petition was sub-
mitted to the Boundary Commission of the County of Orange
and approved at its meeting of November 4, 1957;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that its consent and approval be, and
the same ~e hereby, given to the correction and relocation
of a portion of the boundary line now existing between the
City of Anaheim and the City of Garden Grove, in the manner
and to the extent hereinabove set forth.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be,
and she is hereby, authorized and directed to forthwith
prepare and file a certified copy of this resolution with
the legislative body of the City of Garden Grove.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 17th day of December, 1957.
