63-0578RESOLUTION NO. 63R -578 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF 1H E CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 62R -685 ENTITLED "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ADOPTING RESOLUTION NO. 410, SERIES 1962- 63 OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, AS A LAND USE POLICY OF THE CITY COUNCIL, RELATIVE TO A DELIMITATION OF THE MAJOR COMMERCIAL- RECREATION AREA OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM,` AND REPEALING AND SUPERSEDING RESOLUTION NO. 62R -817. WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did consider evidence relative to the amendment of Resolution No. 410, Series 1962 -63; and WHEREAS, an amendment to the existing Disneyland Policy is considered necessary in order to alter the provisions which restrict office buildings to national headquarters facili- ties providing no direct servicE or services sales to the public, to permit, in lieu thereof, "business and professional office buildings with normally related services to the general public and WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did recommend revision of Resolution No. 410, Series 1962 -63, pertaining to the Disneyland Policy. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that Resolution No. 62R -685, adopted by the City Council on July 2L, 1962, be, and the same is hereby amended by adding an additional paragraph thereto, said ad- ditional paragraph to be inserted immediately following para- graph eight of said resolution and to read as follows: "BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in order to en- courage and provide for the year long utili- zation of the restaurants, hotels, motels, convention and other special facilities and attractions, and in order to encourage and provide for the highest utilization of free- way frontage locations and the community benefits derived therefrom, business and professional office buildings may be permitted in the commercial- recreation area on those sites having freeway frontage lo- cations, where the intent is to establish a headquarters showplace of regional or national scope and importance, where the intent is to develop a multi -story facility with a minimum three stories on a minimum three net acre site, and where the structural design and site development is consistent with the dynamic character of the tourist and convention re- lated commercial- recreation area. Facilities complying with the above prerequisites shall be considered a primary use within the intent of this resolution; and -1- Planning BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 62R -817 be and hereby is repealed and superseded.
