RESOLUTION NO. 63R -671
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING AN EASEMENT DEED CONVEY-
ING TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN REAL PROP-
ERTY FOR EASEMENTS FOR ROAD AND PUBLIC
UTILITIES AND PUBLIC UTILITY PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
desirous of purchasing the hereinafter described real property
for municipal purposes, to wit: Easements for road and public
utilities and public utility purposes; and
WHEREAS, the owners of said property have offered to
convey the same to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
is for the benefit and best interest of the City of
to accept said offer and purchase said real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the offer of M. DOUGLAS and BERNICE
DOUGLAS, husband and wife, as joint tenants, as to an undivided
one -half interest, and J. E. STURGIS and DOROTHY M. STURGIS,
husband and wife, as joint tenants, as to an undivided one -half
interest, to sell to the City of Anaheim the following described
real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, to be used for easements for road and public
utilities and public utility purposes, and more particularly des-
cribed as follows:
PARCEL ONE:
An easement for road and public utilities over, under
and across the Southerly 53.00 feet (as measured at right
angles from the center line of Lincoln Avenue, formerly
Center Street) of that portion of Lot 4 and of Lot 5 of
Anaheim Extension, as shown on a Map of Survey by William
Hamel, a copy of which is shown in Book 3, pages 162 to
164, inclusive, of Los Angeles County Maps, in the office
of the County Recorder of Orange County, California, des-
cribed as follows:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Lincoln Avenue,
as shown on said Map, distant North 74 37' 25" East
950.13 feet from the intersection of said center line
with the center line of East Street, as shown on said Map;
thence North 74 37' 25" East along said center line of
Lincoln Avenue 168.27 feet to the Southerly prolongation
of a line parallel with and distant Easterly 24.29 feet
(measured along the Southerly line) from the Westerly
line of Lot 5 of said Anaheim Extension; thence North 15
27' 55" West along said parallel line, 480.00 feet to
the Easterly prolongation of the Southerly line of the
land described in a deed to Zion Evangelical Lutheran
Church of Anaheim, recorded June 30, 1961 in Book 5770,
page 813 of Official Records; thence South 74 37' 25"
West along said prolongation and along said Southerly
line, 168.78 feet to a line parallel with said center
line of East Street and passes through the point of begin-
ning; thence South 15 24' 15" East along said parallel
line 480.00 feet to the point of beginning.

EXCEPTING THEREFROM the Southerly 53.00 feet as
measured at right angles from the center line of
Lincoln Avenue, formerly known as Center Street.
be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a convey-
ance of said property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Auditor of the
City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to the
owners of said real property, out of General Funds of the City
of Anaheim, the sum of One Dollar ($1.00).
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 13th day of August 19 63

PARCEL TWO:
An easement for public utility purposes over, under
and across the Northerly 5.00 feet of all that land
described above in Parcel One. The Southerly two
feet of said Northerly five feet will be used for
electric power line overhang purposes only.
PARCEL THREE:
An easement for public utility electric power line
overhang purposes over, along and across the Easter-
ly three feet of all that land described in Parcel
One above.

AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
