A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REQUESTING THE INCLUSION OF ADDI-
TIONAL STREETS IN THE SYSTEM OF MAJOR CITY
STREETS.
WHEREAS, Section 2052 of the Streets and Highway
Code of the State of California provides that the system of
Major City Streets shall be selected by the City Council on
the basis of greatest general City importance subject to the
approval of the Department of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
has selected certain streets which it desires to have included
in the system of Major City Streets, such additional streets
being of importance to crosstown traffic and the industrial
development of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the Department of Public Works of
the State of California be requested to approve a revision of
the present system of Major City Streets by approving the
inclusion of the following streets and portions of streets in
the system of Major City Streets of the City:
1. MAGNOLIA AVENUE Approximately 1320 feet south of Ball
Road to the South City Limits north
of Cerritos Avenue.
2. DOWLING AVENUE La Palma Avenue to Placentia -Yorba
Boulevard.
3. ORANGETHORPE AVENUE Dowling Avenue to East City Limits.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this 13th day of February, 1963.
