63-0089RESOLUTION NO. 63R -89 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED CONVEYING TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR AN EASEMENT FOR POLES AND ELECTRIC POWER LINES. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is desirous of purchasing the hereinafter described real property for municipal purposes, to wit. An easement for Holes and electric Hower lines WHEREAS, the owner of said property has offered to sell and convey the same to the Cy; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds that it is for the benefit and best interest of the City of Anaheim to ac- cept said offer and purchase said real property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the offer of MERRIFIELD CORPORATION OF CALIFORNIA, to sell to the City of Anaheim the following described real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, to be used for an easement for soles and electric sower lines 1 an and more particularly described as follows: An easement for poles and electric power lines over, under and across a strip of land 5.00 feet in width, being a portion of the East half of the Southwest quarter of Section 3, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. M., the Easterly line of said 5.00 foot strip being described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of that parcel of land conveyed to Merrifield Corporation of California, described as Parcel 2 in deed recorded November 4, 1954 in Book 2861, page 132 of Official Records, said Southeast corner being the intersection of the South line of said Parcel 2 and the Westerly line of that parcel of land described in deed to National Distillers and Chemical Corporation, recorded December 18, 1951 in Book 2265, page 339 of Official Re- cords of Orange County; thence Northerly along the last mentioned Westerly line, a distance of 1080 feet, more or less, to the inter- section with the Southerly line of that parcel of land described in Deed to Rinshed Mason recorded November 4, 1960 in Book 5496, page 259 of Official Records of Orange County. EXCEPTING THEREFROM the North 115.00 feet of the South 465 feet being that portion of land described in deed to Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America, a New York Corporation, recorded August 25, 1950 in Book 2062, page 41 of Official Records of Orange County, California. be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a conveyance of said property. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Auditor of the City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to the owner or owners of said real property, out of General Funds of the City of Anaheim, the sum of One Dollar ($1.00).
