A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE THAT CERTAIN
OPTION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE SOUTHERN CALI-
FORNIA WATER COMPANY AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM,
DATED JANUARY 15, 1963 AND APPROVED BY THE
CITY ATTORNEY.
WHEREAS, by Decision No. 64205 the Public Utilities
Commission of the State of California granted a Certificate of
Public Convenience and Necessity authorizing the Southern Cali-
fornia Water Company to render water service in Tracts Nos.
4181 and 4397 in unincorporated territory of Orange County,
California; and
WHEREAS, said Southern California Water Company has
expended considerable time and money in engineering, designing,
preparing of specifications for and supervising the construction
of the domestic water system in said Tracts Nos. 4181 and 4397,
and has entered into a contract with Johnson Construction Co.
providing for the acquisition by said Southern California Water
Company of certain lots, together with a water well thereupon,
which water wells are proposed to be used by said Southern
California Water Company in rendering water service to said
tracts; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is interested in serving
water to said tracts if they should be annexed to the City of
Anaheim and has obtained a Conditional Use Permit from the
Orange County Planning Commission, superseding Southern Cali-
fornia Water Company's application for the same purpose, to use
said lots for the production of water in order to supply domestic
water to said tracts; and
WHEREAS, said Southern California Water Company and
the City of Anaheim have evidenced good faith to define their
respective rights in said tracts and have drafted an Option
Agreement dated January 15, 1963, approved by the City Attorney,
wherein the Southern California Water Company grants to the City
an option to purchase the Company's facilities in said tracts
and the City agrees to transfer its Conditional Use Permit to
the said water company.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Mayor and the City Clerk be and
they are hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of
the City of Anaheim that certain Option Agreement between the
Southern California Water Company and the City of Anaheim, dated
January 15, 1963 and approved by the City Attorney of the City
of Anaheim.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the signatures to said
Option Agreement be acknowledged to facilitate recording said
Option Agreement upon its proper execution.

AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
