A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A RENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE
ATCHISON, TOPEKA AND SANTA FE RAILWAY COMPANY
PERMITTING THE INSTALLATION OF A LOW VOLTAGE
CONTROL CABLE ON POLES OWNED BY SAID RAILWAY
COMPANY NEAR ATWOOD, CALIFORNIA, FROM MILE
POLE 0 17 TO MILE POLE 1 24.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim requested permission to
attach a low voltage control cable to poles owned by The
Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company on the south
bank of the Santa Ana River on Oliver District near Atwood,
California; and
WHEREAS, The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway
Company, a Kansas Corporation, has this day tendered to the
City of Anaheim a rental agreement dated December 10, 1962,
permitting the erection and /or maintenance, and operation by
the City at its own expense, upon the terms and conditions
therein set forth, and on the poles owned by The Atchison,
Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company as follows: Installation
of a low voltage control cable across said Railway Company's
right of way on the south bank of the Santa Ana River on
Oliver District near Atwood, California from Mile Pole 0 17
to Mile Pole 1 24 total distance 6,300 feet 37 attach-
ments Cd 75Q each per annum, the rental charge of $27.75 to
be paid annually, in advance; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine
that it would be for the benefit and best interest of the City
of Anaheim to enter into said rental agreement with said
Railway Company.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the rental agreement, dated
December 10, 1962, this day tendered to the City of Anaheim
by The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company, a Kansas
Corporation, permitting the City of Anaheim to erect and /or
maintain and operate, at its own expense, upon the terms and
conditions therein set forth, and on the poles owned by said
Railway Company as follows:
Installation of a low voltage control cable across
the right of way of The Atchison, Topeka and Santa
Fe Railway Company on the south bank of the Santa
Ana River on Oliver District near Atwood,
California from Mile Pole 0 17 to Mile Pole
1 24, total distance 6,300 feet 37 attach-
ments 75Q each per annum,
be, and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said
agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of
Finance be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to said
Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company annually, in
advance, as rental for the use of said poles, a rental charge
of $27.75, as set forth in said contract.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
