RESOLUTION NO. 62R- 1067
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE COMPROMISE OF
CERTAIN EMINENT DOMAIN LITIGATION.
WHEREAS, heretofore, by its Resolution No. 62R -1009
the City of Anaheim authorized and directed the initiation of
condemnation proceedings which resulted in the commencement of
Orange County Superior Court Case No. 108677, being entitled
"City of Anaheim vs. James Goodman, et al. and
WHEREAS, the defendants to said litigation have offered
to deed the property sought to be condemned by the City of
Anaheim, to the City for a total consideration of $53,000.00; and
WHEREAS, said defendants have requested that said
$53,000.00 be dispersed as follows: $19,500.00 to William H.
Neilans and Naomi T. Neilans; $1,000.00 to Arthur Kovack;
$18,929.03 to Westdale Savings Loan Association; $5.50 to West
dale Services Corporation; and $13,565.47 to James Goodman; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
that the sum of $53,000.00 is a fair and reasonable amount to be
paid for the property condemned.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Director of Finance be, and he is
hereby, authorized and directed to deliver to the City Attorney's
Office the sum of $53,000.00, payable as follows: $19,500.00 to
William H. Neilans and Naomi T. Neilans; $1,000.00 to Arthur
Kovack; $18,929.03 to Westdale Savings Loan Association; $5.50
to Westdale Services Corporation; and $13,565.47 to James Goodman,
to be delivered by the City Attorney to the respective recipients
when the City Attorney holds a reconveyance from said Savings
Loan Association and deeds to the respective parcels of property.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 11th day of December 19 62

AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
Anaheim approved and signed said Resolution No. 62R -1067 on the
llth day of December, 1962.
