A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY_ COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE SALE OF CERTAIN CITY -
OWNED REAL PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE EXECUTION OF A GRANT DEED
THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is the owner of
certain real property generally located north of Katella
Avenue on the west side of West Street within the City of
Anaheim as hereinafter more particularly described; and
WHEREAS, said real property is no longer needed
for municipal purposes; and
WHEREAS, Pei -Chung Chao and Rosana Hsu Chao
(hereinafter "purchasers ") have offered to purchase said
real property for the sum of $3,400.00 for use in conjunc-
tion with certain adjacent property owned by said purchasers;
and
WHEREAS, said purchase price represents the fair
market value of said real property as determined by a current
real estate appraisal; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the
public interest and benefit to accept said offer and sell and
convey said real property to said purchasers, subject to all
matters and encumbrances of record.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the offer of Pei -Chung and Rosana
Hsu Chao to purchase the following described property situated
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California:
The easterly 500 feet of Lot 1 in Block 15 of the
Fairview Colony Tract, as shown on a map of a
subdivision of the South half of Section 21, Town-
ship 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. & M., recorded
in Book 1, page 33, Miscellaneous Maps, records of
said Orange County.
Excepting that portion of said land included within
the lines of Tract No. 2854, as per map recorded in
Book 90, pages 39 and 40, Miscellaneous Maps,
records of said Orange County.
Reserving unto the Grantor an easement for road and
public utility purposes over, under and across the
easterly 45 feet, measured to the centerline of
West Street.
for the sum of $3,400.00 cash, lawful money of the United States
be, and the same is hereby, accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, upon tender of the afore-
said purchase price, the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are
hereby, authorized to execute a good and sufficient deed con-
veying to said purchasers the real property hereinabove
described, subject to all matters and encumbrances of record,
and to deliver said deed to said purchasers.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to
certify a copy of this resolution and cause the same to be
attached to said deed to be executed by the Mayor and City Clerk
on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 18th day of April ,
