A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI ^1Y
OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP TO
THE HOUR OF 2 :00 P.1-2. ON THE 23RD DAY OF
MARCH, 1978, FOR THE CONVENTION CENTER EAST
PARTING LOT MODIFICATIONS, ACCOUNT NO.
38- 4855- 985 -20 -0893.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 14th day of
February, 1978, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did
adopt Resolution No. 78R -114 finding and determining that pub-
lic convenience and necessity required the Convention Center
East Parking Lot Modifications, in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct
the City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting
sealed proposals for the above - mentioned public improvement
and fixing the 23rd day of March, 1978, at the hour of 2:00
o'clock P.M. as the date and 'hour for the opening of said
bids in the Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City of
Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, upon said 23rd day of March, 1978, at the
hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and City Engineer
did open the bid received up to that hour, in public, in the
City Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and the City Engineer did
review said bid and did report the result thereof to the City
Council at its regular meeting held on the 11th day of April,
1978; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the bid received
is in excess of the estimate of the City Engineer of the cost
of said public improvement and is not representative of actual
construction costs, and that said bid should be rejected; and
WHEREAS, the City Council now finds that it is for
the benefit and best interests of the City to reject said bid
and readvertise the work at a later date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the bid received up to the hour of
2:00 o'clock P.M. on the 23rd day of March, 1978, reviewed by
the City Engineer and submitted to the City Council on April 11,
1978, for the Convention Center east parking lot modifications,
Account No. 38 -4855- 985 -20 -0893 be, and the same is hereby,
rejected and readvertised at a later date.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 11th day of April,
1978.
