A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY. COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM RESCINDING RESOLUTION N0. 78R-113
AND REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP TO THE. HOUR
OF 2:00 P.M. ON THE 16TH DAY OF MARCH, 1978,
FOR THE BROADWAY STREET IMPROVEMENT - MAGNOLIA
AVENUE TO DALE AVENUE - ACCOUNT.
N0. 13-4309-744-16-0000.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 14th day of
February, 1978, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
did adopt Resolution No. 78R-113 finding and determining
that public convenience .and necessity required the .Broadway
Street Improvement, Magnolia Avenue. to Dale Avenue, in the
City. of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize .and direct
the City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting
sealed proposals for the above-mentioned public improvement
and fixing the 16th day of March, 1978, at .the hour of 2:00
o'clock P.M. as the date and hour for the opening of said
bids in the Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City of
Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, upon said 16th day of March, 1978, at .the
hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and City. Engineer
did open the bids received up to that hour, in public, in the
City Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and the City Engineer did
review said bids and did report the :result thereof to the
City Council at its regular meeting held on the 2$th day of
March, 1978; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department does hereby
recommend to the City Council that it would be in the best
interests of the .City to rescind Resolution No. 78R-I13,
reject all bids, and to redesign the. work contemplated in
order that said work may be combined with .other work to be
performed and to readvertise the .combined work at a later date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the .City of Anaheim that Resolution N0. 78R-113 is hereby
rescinded, that the bids received up to the hour of 2:00 .o'clock
P.M. on the 16th day of March, 1878, reviewed by the City
Engineer and submitted to the City Council on March 28, 1978
for the Broadway Street Improvement, Magnolia Avenue to Dale
Avenue, Account No. 13-43og-744-16-0000 be, .and the same are
hereby, rejected, that .the work be redesigned with other work
to be performed, and that the combined work be readvertised at
a later date.
