A RESOLUTION OF THE. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE
COMMNECEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXA-
TION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED AS SANTA ANA CANYON ANNEXATION

WHEREAS, he City of Anaheim desires to annex
into its boundaries certain unincorporated and uninhabited.
territory as hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, said City desires to extend the .full
range of municipal services to said territory in order to
better serve the needs of said property, its owners and
inhabitants; and
WHEREAS, said City. desires this resolution to be
deemed. a resolution of application proposing a change of
organization pursuant to Sections 35140. and 35110 of the
Government .Code of the State of California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim as follows:
1. That the within proposal is made pursuant to
the Municipal Organization Act. of 1977 as set forth in
Title 4, Division 2, Part 2 of the Government .Code of the
State of California.
2. That the nature of the proposed change of
organization is for the annexation of the hereinafter
described x.55 acres of unincorporated and uninhabited terri-
tory to the City. of Anaheim.
3. That said unincorporated and uninhabited
territory be, and the same is hereby, designated as "Santa
Ana Canyon Annexation No. 5" to the City of Anaheim, and
the boundaries of said affected. territory are as legally
described in Exhibit 'rArr attached. hereto and as shown on the
map marked Exhibit "B" attached hereto, both of which
exhibits are incorporated herein by this reference.
4. That the reasons for the proposed change of
organization are as follows.:
a. Requests by the .owners of said
unincorporated territory for annexation to
the City of Anaheim; and

b. To provide full .municipal services
to an unincorporated area that is remote from
County service facilities and thereby increase
the economy and efficiency of urban services.
5. That the City of Anaheim is hereby designated
as the chief petitioner with regard to this application and
the mailing address of said petitioner is as follows:

6. That the City of Anaheim does hereby. request
that annexation proceedings be taken .and commenced for a
change of organization in connection with the hereinabove
described unincorporated territory pursuant to the provisions

TO
CITY OF ANAHEIM
That certain parcel of land located in the County of Orange, State of
California, described as follows:
Beginning at an angle point in the existing City limit line of the
City of Anaheim, as established by the Santa Ana Canyon No. 4 Annexation
to the City, said angle point being the southwesterly corner of Lot
26 in Tract No. 117, as shown on a map recorded in Book ll, page 15,
P~iiscellaneous claps, records of said Orange County; thence N 0° 58' 18" E,
268.81 feet fallowing along a portion of said existing City limit line
being a-portion of the westerly line of Lot 26 in said Tract No. 117
to an intersection with the southerly line 'of the land described in
the deed to the State of California recorded June 16, 1969 in Book
8990, page 311, Official Records, as shown on State Right of Way Map No.
F-1840 on file in the office of the County Surveyor of said County as
File No. 9053; thence leaving said last mentioned annexation boundary
line and following along the land of the State of California, as shown on
said map filed in the office of the County Surveyor as File No. 9053, the
following courses and distances: N 60° 38' 00" E, 387.17 feet;
N 89° Ol' 42" W, 37.45 feet; N .0° 45' 02" W, 3.51 feet; N 60° 38' 00" E,
47.32 feet; S 29° 22' 00" E, 22.00 feet; N 60° 38' 00" E, 393.22 feet;
N 76° 21' Ol" E, 207.63 feet to an intersection with the northerly right
of way line of Santa Ana Canyon Road, said point of intersection being a
point in a curve concave southeasterly and having a radius of 3,090 feet,
a radial line bearing N 42° 53' 25" W passes through said point; thence
