A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDON-
MENT OF A PORTION OF THAT UNNAMED .PUBLIC ALLEY
LOCATED WITHIN THE BLOCK BOUNDED BY LINCOLN
AVENUE, BROADWAY, ANAHEIM BOULEVARD, AND
CLAUDINA STREET.
WHEREAS, the City Council did, by resolution duly
posted and published, give notice of its intention to vacate
and abandon the easterly one-half of the unnamed public
alley (20 feet in width extending in a north-sauth direction
between. Anaheim Boulevard and Claudina Street; and
WHEREAS, on the 21st day of March, 1978, a public
hearing was held to allow interested persons to submit
evidence concerning said proposed abandonment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
does find, .from the evidence submitted, that that certain
unnamed public alley hereinafter specifically described, is
unnecesary for present or prospective public street purposes;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council does determine that the
public convenience and necessity require the reservation and
exception of the easement(s)-and right(s) of way also herein-
after. specifically described..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the .City Council
of the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation and
abandonment of the easter y one-.half of that unnamed public
alley. described as follows:
That portion of the East half of the 20-.foot
wide public alley located in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, lying
within Block A of the Center Tract, as shown on
a map recorded in Book 14, page 13, Miscellaneous
Records of Los Angeles County, and within the
Resubdivision of the northerly part of Block A
of the Center Tract, as per map recorded in Book 3,
page 22, Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange
County, described as follows:
Beginning at the northwesterly corner of Lot 18 in
Block A of the Center Tract; thence Southerly
along the westerly line of Lots 18, lg, 20, 21 and
22 all of said Center Tract, a distance of 221
feet,. more or less, to an intersection with a line
parallel with and 10 feet northerly of the south

line of said Lot 22; thence Southeasterly 10 feet
to an intersection with the southerly line of said
Lot 22, said point of intersection being for the
purpose of this description 20 feet easterly of
the centerline of the 20-foot wide alley. adjoining
said Lot 22 on the west .and 10 feet northerly of
the centerline 20-.foot wide alley adjoining said
Lot 22 on the .south; thence .Southwesterly along a
portion of the southerly line of said Lot 22 and
the southwesterly prolongation thereof to an inter-
section with the centerline. of the alley 20-.foot
wide adjoining said Lot 22 on the west, .said
centerline of said alley being a Line parallel with
and l0 .feet westerly of the westerly line of said
Lot 22; thence Northerly along said parallel line
being the centerline of said alley a distance of
421 feet, more or less, to an intersection with the
northeasterly prolongation of the north line of the
south 25 feet of Lot 9, .Block A of the Resubdivision
of the northerly part of Block A, as shown on said
Tract Map; thence Northeasterly along said prolonga-
tion a distance of 20 .feet; thence Southwesterly to
an intersection with a line parallel with and l0 .feet
easterly of the centerline of said 20-foot wide alley.;
thence ..Southerly along said parallel line a distance
of 190_feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be,
and she is hereby, authorized. and directed to cause a certi-
fied copy of this Resolution and Order, attested by her. under
the .seal of the City. of Anaheim to be recorded in the .Office
of the .County Recorder of Orange County, California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 21st day of
March, 1978.
