A RESOLUTION OF THE-CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
--~--~ OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP TO
THE HOUR OF 2.:.00. P.M., ON THE 23RD DAY OF
FEBRUARY,. 1978, FOR THE ROYAL OAK - SPRING
HILL DRIVE SIDE~IALK IMPROVEMENT, IN THE CITY
OF ANAHETM, ACCOUNT N0. 12-4309-706.-I6-0000.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to-wit, on the 24th day of
January, 1978, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did
adopt Resolution No. 78R-b7 in connection with the Royal Oak -
Spring Hill. Drive Sidewalk Improvement, Account No. 12-4309-
706-16-0000; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct
the City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting
sealed proposals for ahe furnishing of all .plant, .labor,
services, materials and equipment, and all utilities and
transportation including power, fuel and water and performing
all work necessary to construct and complete said public
improvement, and fixing the-23rd day of February, 1978, at
the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M., as the date and hour for the
opening of said bids in the Council Chamber in the City Hall,
in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, upon said 23rd day of February, 1978, at
the hour of 2:00 o'clock P,M., the City Clerk and City Engineer
did open the bids received. up to that hour, in public, in the
City Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and the City Engineer did
tabulate the bids so received and did report .the result thereof
to the City Council at its regular meeting held on the 28th day
of February, 1978; and
WHEREAS, said project proposed the construction of
sidewalks and handicapped ramps along Royal Oak Road and Spring
Hill Drive to join with a recently constructed sidewalk in
Tract No. 8783; and
WHEREAS, many of the property owners residing on
Orangehill Lane were opposed to the sidewalk along Spring
Hill Drive; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the
best interests of the City to delete the abnvc-mentioned
proposed improvements along Spring Hill Drive; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the rejection
of all bids received is recommended due to the deletion of
the above-mentioned proposed improvements along Spring Hill
Drive and a reduction of actual construction costs.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the bids received up to the hour
of 2:00 P.M., on the 23rd day of February,. 1978, be, and the
same are hereby, rejected for the. Royal Oak Road -Spring
Hill Drive Sidewalk Improvement, in the City of Anaheim,
Account No. 12-4309-706-16-0000.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted
by the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 7th day of
March,. ,19.78.
