A F~ESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUPdCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDON-
MENT OF THAT CERTAIN UNNAP~'fED PUBLIC ALLEY
SOUTH OF BROADWAY, EXTENDING EASTERLY FROM
MELROSE STREET.
WHEREAS, the City Council did, by resolution duly
posted and published, give notice of its intention to vacate
and abandon that certain alley located approximately 135 feet
south of Broadway and extending from Melrose Street to a
point approximately 130 feet easterly thereof; and
WHEREAS, on the 28th day of February, 1878, a
public hearing was held to allow interested persons to submit
evidence concerning said proposed abandonment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
does find, from the evidence submitted, that the certain
public alley, .hereinafter specifically described, is unneces-
ary for present or prospective public street purposes; and
WHEREAS, the .City Council does determine that the
public convenience and necessity require the reservation and
exception of the easement(s) and rights} of way also herein-
after specifically described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation and
abandonment of that unnamed public alley located generally
south of Broadway, east of Melrose Street, described as follows:
That portion of an existing dedicated public
alley lying within the Hotel Del Campo Tract,
as shown on a map recorded in Book 24, pages 69
and 70, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
County, located in the City of Anaheim, County
of Orange, State of California, described as
follows
That portion of the 20.00-foot wide alley lying
southerly of Lots 48 to 58, inclusive of Block
"E" in Hotel Del Campo Tract, as per map
recorded in Book 24, pages 69 and 70, Miscel-
laneous Records of Los Angeles County, bounded
westerly by the easterly line of T~Ielrose Street,
60.00 feet wide, bounded northerly by the south-
erly lines of Lot 54 to 58, inclusive, of said
Hotel Del Carnpo Tract, bounded southerly by the
northerly line of Lot 1 of Laird Subdivision, as

the following described line:
Beginning at the southeasterly corner of said
,. ~ Lot 54; thence Southerly 10.00 feet along; the
southerly prolongation of the easterly line of
said Lot 54 to the centerline of said alley;
thence Easterly 2.50 feet along said centerline
to the northerly prolongation of the easterly
line of said Lot l; thence Southerly 10.00 feet
along said prolongation to the northeasterly
corner of said Lot 1.
Said alley is shown on a map filed in Book 62,
page ~3, Record of Surveys, in the office of
the County Recorder of said Orange County.
Reserving unto the Pacific Telephone and
Telegraph Company an easement to construct, place,
operate, inspect, maintain, repair, replace and
remove such aerial and/or underground telephone,
telegraph and communication structures as the
company may from time-to-time rea.uire, consist-
ing of poles, anchors, wires, cables, conduits,
manholes, markers and necessary fixtures and
appurtenances along the northerly 5 feet of the
easterly 20 feet and an overhang easement along
the easterly 5 feet all of the above described
parcel of land.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be,
and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certi-
fied copy of this Resolution and Order, attested. by her under
the seal of the City of Anaheim to be recorded in the Office
of the County Recorder of Orange County, California.
