WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the Anaheia~i
Police Association have agreed that beginning January 1,
178, life insurance far. employees in the peace officer
unit would be provided through a trust fund establisheG
specifically for that purpose; and
V~HEREAS, the. Anaheim Police Association Life
Insurance Trust Fund has as its sole purpose the providing
of life insurance for all employees of the City in all
classifications represented by Anaheim Police Association
in the peace officer unit of representation; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Police Association Life
Insurance Trust Fund replaces the City sponsored grou;~
life insurance classifications represented by the Anaheir~l
Police Association in the peace officer unit of
representation; and
T°7H~:REAS, it is in the best interests of tl~ie City
of Anaheim to contribute insurance benefit funds to the
Anaheim Police Association Life Insurance Trust Fund
pursuant to the Agreement with ti~.e Anaheim Police
Association; and
VdI~.EREAS, the terms and conditions of saiU Agree-
ment are acceptable to the City Council of the City o~
Anaheim.
NO[~7, TiIEPwFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the terr~~s and
conditions of said Agreement are hereby approved and
accepted.
BE II' FU'_'Tl-xER RFSOLVEll that the F~fayor and. City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, autzorizec~ to execute saic~l
Agreement nn behalf of the City of Anaheim.
