AND/OR MAKE SAID PURCHASES WITHOUT COMPETITIVE
BIDDING RELATING TO THE COTJSTRUCTIOTd OF A
BASEBALL FIELD AT BOYSEN PARK/ROOSEVELT
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires and proposes
to undertake a certain public project, to wit: construction
of a baseball field at Boysen Park/Roosevelt Elementary
School within the City of Anaheim; and
T~IHEREAS, the total cost of said project will be
less than Ten Thousand Dollars (:10,000.00); and
WHEREAS, Section 1211 of the Charter of the City
of Anaheim authorizes the City to perform such work with City
employees or to purchase such materials or supplies in the
open marT~et without competitive bidding where the City
Council declares and determines by resolution that, in its
opinion, said work may be performed better or more econom-
ically by the City with its own employees, or that the
materials or supplies may be purchased at a lower price in
the open market; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does hereby declare and
determine that, in its opinion, based upon the information
and evidence presented to the City Council relating to the
aforesaid public project, the work in question may be performed
better or more economically by the City with its own employees,
and/or the materials or supplies may be purchased at a lower
price in the open market.
NOt~I, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the City of Anaheim shall under-
take and accomplish the aforesaid public project by performing
said work with its awn employees and/or purchasing said
materials or supplies in the open market wit:~out competitive
bidding therefor.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTIOT~T is approved and adopted by
