A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY LEAGUE
OF CITIES TO OPPOSE THE AIRPORT :PLANNING
EFFORTS OF THE INTER-COUNTY AIRPORT AUTHORITY.
WHEREAS, the Inter-County Airport Authority has under-
taken a study of problems-involved in providing additional air
carriers and general aviation services in the Orange County
area; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
that the study proposed by the Inter-County. Airport Authority is
not in the best .interest of the citizens of the City of Anaheim;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is deeply concerned with
Anaheim's environment and the environment of our neighboring
cities; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Airport would present a distinct
hazard to the environment of all cities in Orange County,
especially North Orange County; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
opposed to the planning efforts. of the Inter-County Airport
Authority.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the Orange County League of Cities
be requested to oppose the airport planning efforts of the
Inter-County. Airport Authority..
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the-City Council of the
City of Anaheim that it expresses its opposition to the proposed
Airport.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and
she is hereby, authorized to forward certified copies of this
resolution to the Orange County Board of Supervisors and all
cities in the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
