78-031RESOLUTION N0. 78R- 3i A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ITS `INTENTION TO VACATE AND ABANDON A CERTAIN PUBLIC STREET AND ALLEYS AND FIXING A DATE FOR A HEARING THEREON. (Abandonment No. 76-20A) WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does hereby elect to proceed under the provisions of the Street Vaca- tion Act of 1941 (Section 8300 et seq., Streets and Highway Code) in connection with requests for vacations .and abandonments of public streets located within the City of Anaheim. NOW, THEREFORE., BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Anaheim does hereby declare its intention to vacate, abandon and close to public use the following described street and alleys, to wit: That portion of a dedicated street commonly known as Parry Avenue and those certain public alleys located in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, to be abandoned, described as follows: PARCEL ONE:- (Parry Avenue) That portion of Parry Avenue lying within that por- tion of Lot 15 Miles Rancho, as .shown on a map re- corded in Book 4, ,page 7, Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County, also being a portion of the Map of the Hart Subdivision, as shown on a map re- corded in Book 7, .page 20, Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County., .and also being a portion of the Mary A. Goodman Tract, as shown on a map recorded in Book 7, page 21, Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County., being a strip of land 40 .feet wide, lying parallel with and 20 feet on each side of the following described center- line: Beginning at the centerline intersection of Romneya Drive and Parry Avenue, as shown on the map of said Mary A. Goodman Tract and said Hart Subdivision Map; thence S 00° 00' 1/2" W, .806.12 feet to an inter- section with the centerline of Los Angeles Street,. as the intersection is shown on said Tract Maps. -1- (76-20A) Excepting therefrom the northerly 32.00 feet thereof lying within Romneya Drive on the north. Also excepting therefrom the southerly 167.00 feet as measured along said centerline to an intersection with the centerline of said Los Angeles Street. PARCEL TWO: Those certain strips of land 15 feet wide and 20 feet wide commonly known as public alleys both shown on the Map of Mary A. Goodman Tract, as shown on a map recorded in Book 7, page 21, Miscel- laneous Maps, records of said Orange County, de- scribed as follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 15 in said Mary A. Goodman Tract; thence N 89° 57' E, 274.02 feet along the southerly line of Lots. 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 all in said Mary A. Goodman Tract to the southeast corner of said Lot 20; thence S 00° 00' 1/2 W, 15 feet to the northeast corner of Lot 21 in said tract; thence S 89° 57' W, 127 feet to the northwest corner of said Lot 21; thence S 00° 00' 1/2" W, 420.29 feet to the southwest corner of Lot 31 of said Tract; thence N 50° 02' W, 23.33 feet to the southeast corner of Lot 7 in said Tract; thence N 00° 00' 1/2p E, .408.27 feet to the northeast cor- ner. of Lot 14 in said Tract; thence S 89° 57' W, 127 feet to the northwest corner of said Lot 14; thence N 00° 00' 1/2 E, 15 feet to the point of be- ginning. Excepting therefrom the most southerly 5 feet thereof lying between the west line of said Lot 31 and the east line of said Lot 7, as said street .and alleys are shown on a map or plan on file in the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all persons interested in or objecting to said vacation and abandonment will be heard at a public hearing to be held at 3:00 o'clock P.M., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Council Chamber in the-City Hall, 204 East Lincoln Avenue, Anaheim, California, on: January 31, 1978 ~...
