PLAYGROUTTD E~?UIP~~~EI~iT AT JUAREZ PARK.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires and proposes
to undertake a certain public project, to wit: installation
of new playground equipment at Juarez Park within the City
of Anaheim; and
?~rHEREAS, the total cost of said project will be
less than Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00); and
4°1HEREAS, Section 1211 of tce Charter of the City
of Anaheim authorizes the City to perform such work with City
employees or to purchase such materials or supplies in the
open market without competitive bidding where the City
Council declares and determines by resolution that, in its
opinion, said work may be performed better or more econom-
ically by the City with its own employees, or that the
materials or supplies may be purchased at a lot-rer price in
the open market; and
j~?i-iEREAS, the City Council does hereby declare and
determine that, ire its opinion, based upon the information
and evidence presented to the City Council relatinf to the
aforesaid public project, the work in question mar be perforriled
better or more economically by file City with its own employees,
and/or the materials or supplies may be purchased at a lower
price in the oven market.
I~104~d, THEREFORE, BTJ IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the City of Anaheim shall under-
take and accomplish the aforesaid public project by performing
said work vrith its own employees and/or purc:nasing said
materials or supplies in the open market without competitive
bidding therefor.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTIOs~ i s approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim. this 10th dayr_,of,,~
